After yesterday, I never replied to Allen’s texts or calls. I couldn’t. After what happened with his dad and the memories got back, I don’t think I can face him again. If I didn’t meet Allen that day after school, if we haven’t became friends, he would’ve had a better life. Now he’s stuck in a crap hole and his parents have to live with it as well. Ping~! I rolled over and grabbed my phone. It was Allen. I started to get teary again so I threw the phone across the room and stuffed my face with my pillow. I had to move out of the picture. Allen needs to find a new mate. Tears started rolling down my cheeks. I didn’t want to leave him, but after the memories and the pain I’ve caused for his dad, I had to. Ugh, why did this happen. I heard a knock on the door. I quickly wiped my tears away and cleared out my throat,

“C-come in.”

Allen walks in, his face never looked this sad before. I quickly stood up,

“Allen?”

He hung his head low and walked up to me, embracing me like I’ve been gone forever.

“Why haven’t you been replying to my calls or texts?”

Oh god. His voice, his voice sounded so sad, my heart started hurting. I hugged him tighter, not wanting to let go.

“I-I have to tell you something.” I had to do it. I pulled back, so we were face-to-face.

He was crying?! Oh god I can’t do this. I just can’t.

“Allen...after what happened yesterday, I went into a flashback, of the day you moved away. I know why your dad hates me so much. I basically ruined your life. And I think we should give this a res-”

He cut me off, kissing me right on the lips. My eyes shot open, tears forming. Everything was blurry, but I kissed him back. He rested his head on my shoulder,

“Please Lyla...please don’t say that. My dad left, he took his things and just left. I really shouldn’t even call him dad, after the things he has done to my mom and I…”

I looked up at him surprised, “He left? You should’ve prevented him from doing so! He’s still your dad!”

“You don’t understand Ly! He beats my mom, he’s always in a bad mood. Heck, he tried to kill her once, you still think he has the privilege to be called a dad?!”

Allens eyes grew dark blue. I saw it in his eyes, the pain he has suffered, the rage boiling through his veins. I hugged his suddenly, “I’m sorry Al, I’m sorry for asking…”

He relaxed, “You haven’t called me Al in a while…” A gentle smile forming on his face.

I smiled and dug my face into his chest. I felt and heard his heart beat, it was strong, but relaxing.
