One Direction Cracks Me Up

As soon as we pulled up to Kimmy's aunt and uncle's house a deep knot grew in my stomach. The thought of all the childhood play dates and sleepovers filled with gossiping rushed back into my mind. It's hard to lose a best friend, especially when you've been so betrayed.

The quaint blue house stood off from the rest of her neighborhood which was very ideal for our scheme. Trees lined the sides of the house and through the back basically making a barricade from other houses. Kimmy's aunt and uncle were not home. They hardly ever were.

We got out of the car. Harry dealt out a carton of eggs to each of us. The sun had already set, which aided our protection inside her aunt and uncle came home. After I opened the carton I stared at the twelve eggs perfectly placed. Although Kimmy may have tortured us, it did not feel right to leave her aunt and uncle without a punishment of their own. It made me sick to know that Kimmy was in jail by herself while her aunt and uncle got off scott-free. They must have completely blamed Kimmy for everything.

SPLAT!

I was the first one to throw an egg. The egg landed perfectly between the front door and a window. All the anger and revenge built up inside of me. Each egg released the frustration of being betrayed by the person who knew me the best.

Next thing I knew all the boys were pelting eggs. Eggs were flying everywhere.

I couldn't help but crack the last egg I had over Harry's head. He screamed and gave me the dirtiest look, but I couldn't take him very seriously because he had yolk drizzling down from his curly hair into his eyes.

After the eggcellent (get it) decorating, we admired our work. Egg yolk dripped from the roof and window frames. It was definitely a work of art.

"HEY!"

My heart skipped a beat.

"HEY WHAT'S GOING ON OVER THERE?"

We all turned our heads towards the direction the voice drifted from. A neighbor had ventured over to the house to see what the commotion had been. Apparently our laughing and screaming made everything very obvious.

"Do I have to call the cops?" Suddenly, an elderly woman appeared from behind the trees. She was wearing a robe and hobbling over to us while squinting her eyes, she must not have been able to see everything clearly. I tensed at the thought of going to jail again.

"Let's scramble!" Louis squealed. I couldn't help but giggle at his silly egg pun.

Almost weak to my knees, I set off running after the already-far-ahead-of-me boys. When we reached the car, Harry juggled his keys trying to find the correct one.

"Hurry up!" I said worriedly.

"I'm trying!" He exasperated.

Finally, he found the key and unlocked the doors. The old lady had been hobbling down the hill to the sidewalk this whole time. We got in the car and Harry began to speed down the road with Liam in the passenger seat and the rest of us squeezed in the backseat. The car filled with laughter because of what had just happened. I think we were all just glad we got away without another scratch on our permanent records.

"Do you think she got our license plate when we drove away?" Liam turned around in the passenger seat to face us, smiling from the adrenaline of our act.

"No she couldn't see a darn thing," I replied laughing.

He began to laugh too. I loved when he laughed. The corner of his eyes became squinted with playfulness and his smile could light up a whole room. I couldn't understand why I didn't chose him from the moment we became stranded on the island. It's going to be hard to leave his goofy smile again.

We entered the small downtown area of my tiny city in South Dakota. The boys were singing a song on the radio at the top of the lungs with all the windows down. The warm breeze brought back memories of the tropical island.

Harry parked the car in an empty parking lot and ordered for all of us to exit the car promptly. He stated it exactly like that too.

We sit down on the pavement in a circle in silence, just enjoying each other's presence. The town was dead due to the fact that it was practically one o' clock in the morning. The coffee still bubbled in my blood and I felt completely alert.

I examined the circle of boys before me, each of their faces illuminated in the darkness. We all just smiled and looked at each other because we felt accomplished. Revenge is always an eggstrordinary feeling when it is deserved.

The boys constantly brought me on the best adventure, whether they planned on it or not. From crazy parrots and mango-colored clothing to being kidnapped several times and chasing a naked Harry styles. I know tonight will forever be one of my favorites.

I can't believe we got away with vandalizing the house.

One Direction really cracks me up.

What an update? Girl, it's been over a year where ya at?

Honestly, I wasn't planning on coming onto Wattpad tonight to just spit out a chapter in less than an hour, but hey guess what it happened. I've missed writing silly little chapters for you guys so here ya go.

The book is obviously not over yet, but it almost is. I plan on finishing it sometime this year. I'm just not sure how it is going to end yet, just depends on my mood when I'm writing it I guess.

Sorry for the break but I can't promise constant updates anymore. Finding free time is very challenging. I'd like to write more often for everyone but I just can't find the time and more like I used to have. I hope you all understand.

Also apologizing for the error-filled and short chapter. It's literally 1 AM but I found my way back onto wattpad and felt like finishing this chapter.

Hopefully people still read this book lol. Peace out y'all! Leave comments, I read them periodically.

xoxo
