Chapter 26

December 23, 2009

Isabella's Pov

Year 11

I laid on my bed watching my phone slowly move cross my desk as it keeps vibrating. It's been doing this for the last two days now. I know exactly who it is, but that's the one person I don't want to see, hear, smell or even think about.

Harry.

Ever since I found out that I was just a part of a god damn bet, I can't even look at Harry. Why would he do something like that, to me out of all people? I thought we were best friends, I thought even maybe a little bit more than that. Since then all the feelings I had for Harry are just gone.

When my phone starts to vibrate again, I decide to get up from bed. Pulling my warm blue blankets off of me, I stand up and walk over to my mirror, throwing my hair up into a messy bun before walking out of my room leaving my vibrating phone behind.

Leaping down each step carefully, I made my way into the kitchen to see mum on the phone. Not knowing if it is a business call or not, I quietly take a seat at the breakfast bar, but to my luck, she was already hanging up and placing the home phone back into the charger.

When she turned around she greeted me with a bright white smile and a plate of her delicious pancakes.

"Good Morning baby girl."

I smiled as she placed the plate in front of me then replied, "good morning mum."

"So I have some good news, since the last couple of days you've been acting as if your whole world is broken I came up with a great idea to get you in a better mood."

If only she knew. If only she knew what Harry did to me. If only her best friend used her to win a bet, she would understand why my 'whole world is broken' as she puts it. I nodded as I stuffed another bite of pancakes into my mouth, notifying her to continue.

"We're going with the Styles again this year up to the cabin for Christmas!" Mum had the biggest smile on her face, she looks as if she had just won the lottery or something. I'm sure my face was the complete opposite of hers. I been trying so hard to avoid Harry that I forgot about the vacation our family's go on every year.

Anne, Harry, Gemma, my mum and me, all drive up to their cabin every year for Christmas. We decorate the place and start a fire while Anne and mum go out to get food for a big Christmas dinner. Then we go find a tree and set it up in the cabin, and all the holiday things that normal families would do by themselves.

"Bells what's wrong." Mum asked, clearly aware that I don't seem as happy as I usually am about this trip.

"Nothing mum, it's just that, do we have to go this year?" I asked hoping she would just say no and that we could stay home.

"Bella, I just told Anne that we would go, I can't say no now and besides why wouldn't you want to go you love spending your holiday up at the cabin with Harry." I rolled my eyes at the sound of his name. My mum didn't seem to notice because she kept her beautiful smiled as she walked around and grabbed her purse in the seat next to me.

"But mum-" just as I was about to protest, mum cut me off.

"Isabella, no buts. I already told Anne we we're coming, I have to get to work now, so I'll see you when I get home."

She kissed my forehead before she headed for the front door. As usual she was yelling out mothery things like "put your dish in the wash when you're done" and "don't forget to lock the door when I leave".
