The room is occupied by twelve other people, six of them seated in chairs that form a circle, the others are the guards. I see Luke in the corner of the room helping a girl.  She holds on to his shoulder as she tries to walk, her pale legs are skinny, too skinny. All the others sitting in the chairs are just like her, crazy.

“Okay, so how is everyone today.” A women in white uniform pants asks us.

No one answers.

“Would anyone like to share how they are feeling?”

No one answers.

“How did you all sleep?”

No one answers.

“Well we have a new friend here with us, say hello Grace.”

I don’t answer.

“Grace, how are you.”

I stay silent, as I look up to meet the eyes of Luke. He smiles at me as I turn my head to look away, not returning one.

“Are we happy?” The lady asks.

“No.” I answer.

“Why are you unhappy?”

“I’m in here.”
