Christmas Eve Rockefeller Center (New York)
"Oh my gosh it's so cold!!" I said and stuffed my hands in my pockets as I walked onto the ice rink.
Jack was holding Chris's hand and they were slowly skating along the wall.
"It's cold Daddy!" Jack said and Chris chuckled.
"I know buddy, here let's put your gloves on." I handed him Jack's gloves and he put them on.
I grabbed Jack's other hand and we slowly made our way around.
After about 20 minutes of getting used to being on the ice, all three of us went around the entire rink.
"I have to go potty."
"I can take him." I said.
"Okay." Chris pecked my lips and we made our way off the ice and towards the bathrooms.

After about a few minutes we walked out and my eyes got wide.
The ice rink was now full of rose petals and no one was skating. I set Jack down when I got to the rink and I covered my mouth. Chris was standing in the middle with a smile on his face.
Robert walked up next to me and smiled then picked Jack up.
"I got him."
I nodded and got on the ice and skated towards Chris.
"Hi." He said.
"What is all this?"
"I will tell you in a second." He pecked my lips and held my hands. I looked around and saw everyone was standing at the top and out side the rink.
"Amber," I looked back at him. "From the moment I met you, at the Christmas party, I knew you were the one-"
"Don't do that." My voice cracked and I pulled away as my eyes started to water. He just smiled and continued talking.
"You were the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. You've helped me more than I can really say and I'm very grateful for that." He put his hand in his pocket and I shook my head.
"Don't you dare do it." I said. He chuckled and pulled out a ring then got down on one knee. He glanced over his shoulder and I looked up.

"Oh my gosh." I started crying and he looked back at me.
"Is that a yes?"
"Of course." He took my glove off and slid the ring on my finger then stood up. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him.
Everyone cheered and clapped as they watched us. Chris wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer to him.
"For a second there I thought you were gonna say no." He said and I laughed.
"I love you." I said and kissed him again.
Robert, Jack, Susan and Nick came on the ice. Nick gave me a hug then Robert.
I buried my face in his chest and he kissed the top of my head.
"Congratulations." He said and hugged me tighter.
"Daddy what did you do?" Jack asked.
"I proposed to Amber."
"What does that mean?"
"It means Amber is gonna be your mommy." I heard Jack gasp.
I pulled away from Robert and went over to them.
"You're gonna be my mommy?" Jack asked and I nodded. He smiled and I took him out of Chris's arms and hugged him. ~ ~
