It had just went on six am when my cell rang. It was kara calling so I immediately answered her wondering what's going on "hey care bear, are you okay?" I asked
"Aiden's not answering his cell, can you please take me to the hospital" she asked. I could hear the pain in her voice
"I'll be there as soon as I can" I told her before the line went dead. I immediately got up and dressed making my way into mom and dad's room to see baby Sahara laying in between them as dad played with her

Kensi: is everything okay Kylie?
"I don't know yet. Kara needs me to take her to the hospital. She tried Aiden but he's not answering his phone" I explained to them "can I burrow your car?" I asked
Kensi: no, I'll drive. Babe stay with Sahara and Max, I'll be back soon
Deeks: yeah, sure. Just let me know if she's alright
"We will, mom I dont want to keep her waiting too long" I said and she quickly threw on a pair of pants and her shoes before taking me to Kara's place where aunr Kate's car was already parked in the driveway. When we got inside kate was helping her get dressed "how did you get here so quickly? I didn't even know you were in town" I said to her
Katherine: mother's intuition. I got in around five this morning and needed to check on my child. I called the hospital, they'll be waiting for us. She's in pain and bleeding is never a good sign during pregnancy
We walked into the bedroom to see the blood soaked bedsheets and my best friend in tears
Kensi: you gonna be okay, have you felt the baby moving at all this morning?
Kara: no
"Its okay, she'll be okay and so will you." I assured her as she followed us outside. She rode with her mom while mom and I followed behind. When we got to the hospital doctor Lee immediately took her into an exam room where he started the ultrasound
Kara: what's wrong?
Dr. Lee: I can't hear a heartbeat. Don't panic, these things can be a little tricky sometimes
He guided the wand over Kara's stomach. We heard nothing but silence for what seemed life forever before the sound of the baby's heartbeat filled the room
Dr. Lee: Lisa have them prep the operating room for an emergency c section. Miss Castle your baby's in distress. Heartbeat is weak, she's loosing oxygen. The umbilical cord is wrapped too tightly around her neck. We need her out of there as soon as possible
Kara: is she going to die?
Dr. Lee: not if I can help it. Your blood pressure is rising, your heart is beating too fast. I need you to try and be as calm as possible. If you want her to be okay you gotta relax
