CHRIS POV

As soon as Alana left I got out of my car and walked inside. I paced back and forth in the living room, not knowing what to do. If I lost my job or if I was forced to stop seeing Alana, I still had Angela right? I shook my head. This all felt wrong. I couldn't do this to Lana, but she just didn't understand how Angela made me feel. I had been with her forever. Since high school, actually. I couldn't just leave her. I loved her too much to do that. But now I loved Alana too...

That night I went to bed with a pounding headache. I didn't know what I was gonna do, but I knew for sure that I wasn't going to do what I had told Alana I was going to do. I couldn't break up with Angela when she got back. I couldn't break up with Alana either, but... I really needed to fix this. And I still didn't know how. I rolled over and inhaled deeply, cussing loudly when I realized the bed still smelled like Alana from this morning. I groaned and got up, slowly removing the blankets from the bed and throwing them in the wash. Angela was gonna be home tomorrow, and I knew she would call me out on the bed smelling like perfume. I stumbled into the hallway and opened the small closet, grabbing new blankets and hauling them back into my room. I was always so secretive lately, and I was making a lot of close calls. I had a feeling I was gonna slip up sometime soon, or maybe I already had. After all, now that kid in my class knew about me and Alana, and once one student in school knew, the whole school would know in a matter of minutes on Monday. Rumors traveled like wildfire. Then there was the fact that if I somehow miraculously managed to keep my job, I would have to pretend that I broke up with Angela when I was around Alana. If I DID lose my job, I'd have to make up an excuse to Angela, telling her how I got fired. I definitely didn't plan on telling her that I had gotten fired for messing around with one of my students, so I would have to come up with another story that sounded feasible. A pounding headache interrupted my thoughts, and I sighed in defeat, flopping lifelessly onto the bed and throwing the covers over my body. I would think of this in the morning before Angela got here.

ANGELA POV

I was smiling and laughing as I talked with Jessica. We were almost at my house now since she was dropping me off, and all I could think about was seeing Chris again. I loved him with all my heart, and I couldn't wait until we got married at the end of next month. We hadn't really started planning anything yet, but I hoped we would soon. I wanted to surprise him and be home when he woke up in the morning, so Jessica and I left Miami a little earlier than we were supposed to. We had just gone for a few days to calm down and relax, since Jessica was having trouble with her boyfriend. She needed to get away for a few days and she invited me to go with her. When we had been in Miami we had went to a few clubs, and even though I had seen some guys that I probably would have normally flirted with, I remembered Chris. I couldn't do that to him. I would never hurt him like that.

As we rounded the corner onto my street, I began grabbing my bag and saying my farewells to Jessica. She was feeling better now, and she assured me that she'd call me tomorrow. We pulled up in front of my garage and I smiled at her before I got out and shut the door. I waved to her as she drove off, and then I took my keys out of my purse and walked up to the front door. I unlocked it as quietly as I could and walked inside, slipping off my leather jacket and heels. One of Chris' dogs came running around the corner at my approach, but I couldn't tell who it was since the whole house was dark. The dog began to whimper so I bent down, petting it to keep it quiet. I realized it was DD as she gave a short bark and licked my hand. I laughed softly and then walked towards the stairs, checking my phone to see that it was one in the morning. I sighed and spotted the bedroom that I shared with Chris. I smiled and opened the door, seeing him sprawled on his chest in the middle of the bed, hogging up all the sheets. His mouth was open slightly as he snored softly, and his legs were dangling off one side of the bed. It looked like he had just flopped onto the bed and fallen asleep instantly. The sheets were draped over his waist, but I could tell he was only in his boxers. I stared at him for a few minutes before I took my hair down, walking into the bathroom to change my clothes and take off my makeup.
