They told her she could cope,
"Everything will be okay",
But the demons remain,
making it harder for her to stay.
They said she was strong,
"Tough to the bone",
If she were that way,
she wouldn't be feeling so alone.
They knew she was tough,
"Can easily get through life",
Is that so? Then explain the knife.
They saw her as a happy child,
"She's cheerful each day",
Under all that, she's just a child in dismay.
That's what they said,
That's what they saw,
They believed in her lie more and more.
Could they be more blind?
Could they not see?
She's not living life merrily.
She hates herself. The hatred is high,
Living is too hard, she wishes to die.
