Hard To Get

I play the game of "Hard to Get"

because I know that you are someone I can't move on from or forget.

A retchid circumstance tore us apart.

We took a chance right from the start.

You said you would wait

and that is something I truly do appreciate.

So many things being thrown in our way.

Sometimes you questioned "Should I stay?"

Trying like hell to give it my all.

Giving all the time possible as well as making sure to text and call.

Yet, the one obstacle was always nearby

causing you so much anger and pain , while making me cry.

Then when it seemed like all would be well

in came another set back causing you to dwell.

The last straw for you I guess

because you made a decision that did only depress.

You said you thought it through that there would be no future for us.

That everything it seemed was going against us.

So you made the decision to give up and leave.

Causing me to do nothing, but grieve.

I showed you that I did not want to do the same,

but you made it clear that your decision was final and I knew what was to blame.

But now I see that there might be a way

to be together...for you to stay.

For the obstacle shall soon be removed,

which I feel will allow everything to be improved.

At the same time I will play the game of "Hard to Get"

To show you that you are someone I can't forget.

That we are meant to be.

It was just that obstacle you see.

So I will give you the time and back away

making sure that there is not much I will say.

Simple gestures here and there.

Showing that if necessary I can do without a man if you dare.

Catching your attention...will you look my way?

For only time shall say.

You act like you let go,

but based on your reactions and comments I see that it is not true. It is only on the outside that you are really saying no.

So if playing "Hard to Get" is what it takes after the obstacle is out of the way.

Then here it goes starting today.

I wrote this a few days ago. I hope everyone likes it. :D
