In the morning as you slowly arise,
you gaze out your window to see the sunrise.
Such a stunning sight.
Makes you want to take in every moment, a new memory you hold on tight.
So picturesque...a sight to behold.
So many gorgeous colors separated like an intricate fold.
Then you realize you are running late,
so you quickly hop out of bed, for you have a very important date.
Once you are ready, you look out at the sky once more
before you make your way out the door.
For who knew such a simple thing could make your morning glorious.
Leaving you feeling incredibly victorious.
What a wonderful start to your day.
Yet, one could only hope it remains that way.
I wrote this poem to show us that we should never ignore or take advantage of the simple things in our life because at times something so simple can be all it takes to be that small bit of encouragement we need to get through the day. No, for you it may not be seeing a beautiful sunrise, but either way whatever it may be..once you have it...enjoy it and never let it go.
