William's POV-
"Hector Sterling, Former Head Commander of the Dendrix Royal Army," He introduced himself as he held out his hand to me.
To me, it didn't go unnoticed how we had the same face, or that my Dendrix was almost identical to his regarding the color and figure of the wings.
I nodded once, "You have a tremendous power in you. I think everyone noticed it when you took down half of those hunters," he chuckled but I found no humor in it.
"I must get it from my lousy excuse of a sperm donor," I said.
He froze and slowly nodded.
"You know?" he questioned quietly.
"It doesn't take a genius to figure out we're related. I'm a fucking younger version of you...sadly," I mumbled the last part, but he heard it.
"William-" he swallowed. "The reason I left-"
"I don't want to hear it. You have no idea what you put me through, what you put my mother through!" I shouted.
"I was protecting you!" he shouted back. I scoffed, yeah right.
"I had people after me! If they found out I had a mate and kid out there, they would have went after you! They would have tortured you and killed you!" he shouted.
"Who?!" I wasn't buying any of this.
He sighed and looked troubled, like he couldn't decide if he should tell me or not.
As he was going to talk he was cut off. "Alpha Silver," I turned to a nurse who looked around awkwardly.
"Is Violet ok?" I immediately asked.
"Yes, she's fine, she's in recovery. She's awake already, the process was very fast and her anesthesia wore off as we finished the last stitch. She's asking for you," I didn't wait to hear any left as I rushed passed the nurse who yelled out something about the doctor being in shortly to tell us about Violet's condition, whatever that meant...
I had no idea where she was, but I just followed my instincts. I stood outside of the room her scent was the strongest and took a deep breathe before opening the door.
My anger spiked as I saw my mate looking helpless and very wounded. Violet had her eyes closed, but when she heard the door open, she opened her eyes. She looked at me with tears in her eyes, I walked in and sat in the chair that was next to her bed. "My poor baby," I cooed as I gently grabbed her hand in mine.
She chuckled through her tears, but immediately winced. "It's ok, it's over Violet," I whispered to her.
"William," she croaked out, she was trying to tell me something, but she was too weak.
"Shh, rest for now, I'll be here when you wake up," I told her as I kissed her forehead, watching as her eyes slowly closed as she fell asleep.
I sighed as I leaned back in my seat making sure my hand was still with hers.
"Alpha Silver," my eyes snapped open, I hadn't even realized I had fallen asleep. My hands was still tightly clenched with Violet's, who was clenching her hand just as tightly. I looked up at the doctor and nodded for him to continue.
"I had already informed Princess Violet on her condition after she came out of surgery, did she let you know?" he asked quietly.
Confused, I shook my head and his eyes widened. "What's wrong with her?" I growled out lowly.
"Um, I think it's best if the Princes-"
"Tell me what the fuck is wrong with my mate!" In a flash I had the doctor up in the air as my hands grabbed his collar.
"William?" I heard a soft angelic voice call out to me. In another flash I was by her side, holding her hand as I watched her open her eyes.
"I'm here Violet," I whispered as I silently glared at the doctor who left the room. Lucky bastard, if I only I had a few more seconds...
"How do you feel?"
"Better," she smiled a little.
"That's great," I smiled back as I kissed her forehead.
"It's morning," she stated as she looked at the clock that was next to her bed.
"Uh- Violet... the doctor said that he informed you of your condition after you came out of surgery... What did he say?" I asked.
She went quiet, a silent tears fell from her left eye. Silently confused I gently wiped it away as I lifted her head so she could look at me. "I'm pregnant," she whispered.
I froze, backing up a little..."It's only been two days," I said back.
"The doctor informed me that Dendrix pregnancies are very quick, only about 3 to 4 months," she said.
3 to 4 months...in 3 to 4 months my whole life will change... It'll no longer be just me and Violet, there'd be another person in our lives forever...
"I'm going to be a dad," I whispered as tears started making an appearance and I tried to blink them back, but I couldn't. I looked at Violet who already had a few tears leaking from her eyes.
I gently walked back to her and lifted her gown, the blanket on her was covering the rest of her. I looked at her stomach and sobbed like a baby as I held both of my babies in my arms. Violet wrapped her arms around me and held me to her, crying as well.
This was our new beginning.
