"Well today we need to try to work on our plays because these last few days have been crap." I say as Jack smiles. "What?"

"Nothing." He laughs.

"So romance, comedy both or what?" Jacob says weighing imaginary objects.

"It could be a mixture of both." Jaylen says.

"Is there any kissing?"

"It all depends."

"On what?"

"Who's kissing who."

"I'll kiss anyone but you and Kyla."

"Jack isn't kissing you Jacob!"

"How about we let him decide that for himself."

"Whatever." We look over and see Jack walking out.

"Where is he going?" Jacob looks.

"I'll go see." Jaylen begins to walk away.

"No." I grab her arm. "I'm tired of having to chase after him. "Let him go."

"Ok. When it comes to our grade, he won't be getting any of the credit."

"Yea ok." I look down. "So who are the main characters?"

"Well it could've been you and Jack but he never says anything so."

"What would Jack and I been doing?"

"Kissing."

"Why would we kiss when I have a boyfriend?"

"It's for a grade."

"So you're telling me that it's ok to cheat because it's for a grade?"

"Your words not mine."

"Hmm mhm." I shake my head and brainstorm. "Maybe we could all be friends in a horror movie or something I don't know." I sigh.

"We'll eventually come up with something. We have to."

"We don't have time to come up with anything. At this point we should be rehearsing the lines."

"Yea I guess you're right."

"Ugh. I have a headache. I quit." I start to walk away.

"Wait!" Jacob says as I walk away. "This is not the Kyla I know. The Kyla I know would fight and stay up countless nights to do just one assignment."

"Well I guess you don't know me." I start to walk away. The minor headache I had gets much worse. I sit in the back row of the auditorium and massage my temples. Jacob comes over.

"Girl what is going on? Is it Marcus?" Jacob sits next to me.

"No." I close my eyes.

"What or who is it then? This isn't the Kyla I knew in kindergarten."

"It's just life hasn't been going the way I wish it would."

"What does that supposed to mean?"

"It's just that Marcus and I could be better. Don't get me wrong, the relationship has gotten better but not enough."

"Do I seriously need to whoop someone?"

"No." I laugh. "I just think I may be over thinking the situation."

"Good because we need to be working on this project." He grabs my hand and pulls me back toward the front of the auditorium.

"Good?" Jaylen asks.

"I guess." I sigh. This is probably one of the worst headaches I've ever had.

I look at the food on my tray and put my head in my hands.
