Mistakes

I don't regret the mistakes I've made,

I store them up for a later date.

I've learned a lot that needs to be saved,

Otherwise I may fall into hate.

Mistakes surround me, appear as scars,

They show my stupidity, my downfalls.

I look up to be guided by falling stars,

For I've been blocked by rejection's walls.

My mistakes guide me and shape me,

Show me where I must improve.

And I follow to where I was meant to be,

Lead by mistakes that told me to move.

In the end, mistakes do pay off,

They teach us for our future days.

So I will not look at my mistakes and scoff

For the one who refuses to learn, pays.
