Be Free, Without Me

Be Free Without Me

I gave you the key to my heart

And you, in turn, ripped me apart.

I offered you all of me, my heart and soul,

And slowly you claimed me with every kiss you stole.

Then off you went, whisked away,

Did you want me to suffer, day after day

I want to be back in your arms, on your mind

But I've been left to face the unkind.

So I'll watch from afar, remembering what you meant to me

And day by day I'll set my thoughts free

Holding on to what you were

Letting my emotions blur

I'll die, slowly, on the inside

I'll give up, swallow my pride

You can go, be set free

Keep on living, not weighed down by me

We can call that a fair trade if you want to,

Either way I'm stuck  only wanting you.
