Chapter 004.05

“She’s a girl?! Why did I even call in the first place?!” He was shocked from the one who answered the phone call.

He took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He took out his phone and recorded something. He then sent it to her.

“Smile naman dyan Gigi! Uy! Mag sasmile na yan! Aiyeee!” He sent the recording.

He then received a message. He excitingly opened the message, but it was someone else instead.

“Ano? Basketball tayo?” He read the text.
“Fine. Meet you at the park nalang.” He replied.

He scratched the back of head and headed out of his house.

“Ma! Basketball lang po ako!!” He yelled before getting his foot out of the door.
“Wait!! Give me your keys!” His mom ordered.
“My keys? Why?” He argued.
“Starting today, you are to use you own way of transportation.” His mom told.
“What?! Why? What did I do?”
“Your dad’s orders for almost maxing out your credit card.”
“I have a platinum card, there’s no limit for that!” he gave his mom an attitude
“GIVE. ME. YOUR. KEYS.” He knew his mom was serious with the way she ordered for his keyes.
“Fine!” He threw the keys on the ground.

He ran toward the park, it wasn’t too far anyway.

“What took you so long?!” His friend told him.
“Mom took the keys away.” He replied without hesitation.
“So, does that mean you’re grounded or something? I mean why else take it right? Your leg isn’t even broken anymore.”
“Spent too much on the card.” He quickly explained.
“But you guys are freaking rich!!”
“Whatever. Laro na nga kasi!” He grabbed the ball from his friend.

They both played their game for hours, one on one, but he kept losing against his friend.

“Dude! What the heck?! Are you even playing at all?!” His friend started. “Just don’t mind! You’ll get your car back!”
“What are you talking about?” He just looked at his friend.
“Huh!? Okay fine, then explain to me why you’re not yourself today then!” His friend ordered.
“Yoko nga!” He dribbled the ball and shot it.
“Chicks yan no?!” His friend asked. Medyo kilig yung tanong.
“What?! Hecks nah!!” He declined giving him a disgusted look.
“Whatever” His friend rolled his eyes, then took the ball away from him.

Moments later, the two left the park and went their separate ways to go home.

As soon as he got home, he noticed he got a text message.

“Thanks.” The message read. It was from GigiKay.

He rushed to his room and threw himself on his bed, excited to text GigiKay back.

“Are you okay?” He replied.
“Swell. Are you?” Gigikay replied.
“Yep. Thanks.” He replied again with a smile.

He just laid on his stomach waiting for a reply, but nothing.

“Boring naman to!” He got tired of waiting and left his room to shower.

As soon as he finished taking his shower, he threw himself on his bed again, hoping GigiKay would reply.

Instead, he fell asleep waiting.

He woke up early in the morning from some noises coming from the outside of his house.

“What the heck?!” He quickly got up and walked toward the window.

He then rushed out of his room as soon as he saw what was going on.

“Pa! Kotse ko!!!” He yelled.
“Sorry kiddo, but your car needs to go. Your mom and I warned you.” That’s all his dad said.

He ran back to his room, pissed off at what his father just did. “First my card, then my keys, now my car?! What’s next?!” He started punching his pillow.

“You really want to know?” He heard a familiar voice.
“Ma!” He was surprised. “Let me guess, something is gonna get taken away again?” he guessed it right.

His mother just stood there quietly.

“I’m right, right?!” He asked again. “Ma!!! Tell me!!” He was getting impatient.

His mother took a deep breath.

“Come downstairs.” His mother ordered.

“Ma?!! Ano?!!” He yelled impatiently, getting angry now.
