Back at home, Jairus opened the door to her room. She wasn't there. He went to the secret room and found her crying on the bed. He knew she was hurt, so all he could do was hug her.

"I don't know what happened, but I'm here." Jairus told.

Sharlene got up and just stared at him. Jairus just hugged her tightly.

"I don't wanna be here anymore." She cried.

"What about me? Are you just gonna leave me alone?" Jairus replied.

"Are you gonna go with me wherever I go?" Sharlene started.

"As long as I'm with you, yes." Jairus replied.

"Jairus, you're the only one Sharlene trusts now, don't mess this up." He remembered Miles' words.

"Listen, I know my daughter trusts you. I want you to keep an eye on my daughter. Call it as if you're her personal security guard." He remembered her father's words.

The following day, Sharlene left with Jairus for the bank. She transferred all her savings to Jairus' account.

"Are you sure about this?" Jairus asked.

"This is the only way I can use my money without them tracking what I do with it. I'm sure they can track what I do with my money." Sharlene replied.

The bank teller then handed her an envelope with all her savings.

"Is there any way she can use the money she deposits to my account without me and without opening a joint account?" Jarius asked.

"I'm sorry sir, but she can't touch your account unless you two have a joint account." The teller told her.

"What if I gave her power of attorney?" Jairus suggested.

"Power of Attorney is accepted sir." The teller told.

"Perfect!" Jairus replied. "Shar, let's get the power of attorney after this." Jairus told her.

"It's not needed. I don't plan on going anywhere without you anyway." Sharlene told him.

"You sure?"

"I'm sure."

The following morning, Sharlene and Jairus left their house. Jairus' phone then kept ringing. He ignored the calls.

"Aren't you gonna answer your phone? It could be important." Sharlene told him.

"It's fine. I can always call them back." Jairus replied.

The two took the jeep to the bus terminal and made their way to the last stop. The two went down and held hands as they stared at each other.

"It's already getting dark, let's find a place to sleep." Sharlene suggested.

"I think there's a hotel right there. Let's get a room there." Jairus told.

The two got a room at a nearby hotel and put their stuff down. Jairus immediate went straight to the hotel phone and called housekeeping to request extra pillows and blankets.

"What was that for?" Sharlene asked.

"I'll sleep on the sofa. You can sleep on the bed." Jairus suggested.

"What's wrong with you sleeping on the same bed? It's big enough to fit us both. Besides, I trust you. I know you won't do anything." Sharlene told him.

Jairus just kept quiet and agreed.

Sharlene went to the bathroom and showered to get ready for bed, followed by Jairus. By the time Jairus finished getting read, Sharlene was sitting on the bed looking angry.

"What is this?" She asked him, with his phone in her hand.

"What are you talking about?" He was confused.

"I read your messages. You're keeping in touch with my cousin and father?!" Sharlene yelled.

"Shar, keep it down. We're gonna get ourselves kicked out." He told her.

"I don't freaking care! Let them hear me! I trusted you!" She started to cry. "How could you do this to me?" she cried.

"Shar, I had no idea they all set this up. I was just hired to be your personal security guard. I agreed so I can be with you!" Jairus explained.

"I don't know what's real or fake anymore. I'm tired of all the crap." Sharlene cried.

"I'm sorry that you had to go thru this. I knew you lost your memory and I blame myself. When your father asked me to be your personal security guard, I agreed right away not know what they were doing. I wanted to be with you. Trust me on that." He clarified his explanation. "Just because I'm working under your dad, doesn't mean I would tell him where we are." He added.

Sharlene calmed down a little from his words.

"I'm sorry." Jairus sat beside her and hugged her.

Sharlene just cried. Jairus lifted her chin and kissed her on the lips.

"I'm sorry." Jairus hugged her tightly.

Sharlene eventually fell asleep. Jairus laid her down softly and tucked her in. Jairus laid down beside her and pulled her closer to him so he can embrace her.
