She walked down the hallway of their school and spotted someone on crutches.

“That must suck! It must be hard for him to be going around the campus with those. Especially since the books we carry are heavy.” She thought and just stared at him. “Maybe I should help him? But what if his class is on the other side of the campus? Then again, at least he’s not making other people do things for him just cause he can’t walk properly.” She continued her thoughts.

“Sharlene, what are you doing? Class is about to start!” Her friend called her.
“Hey Lexa! I was just looking at this one guy on crutches.” She let out.
“So?! You shouldn’t be staring at him in the first place. I’m sure he wouldn’t wanna be pitied on. Just leave him alone. Let’s go.” She told her. Her friend was right.
“I wasn’t pitying on him. I was just thinking that people who use their weakness as strength is inspiring. It’s good motivation!”
“Good point. Let’s go?”

They both went on their way. The teacher then sat up from her desk.

“We’re having another seating arrangement according to your test scores.”

The students groaned. They couldn’t really do anything, as they’re not the ones in charge of the class so they just got out of their seats and waited for their teacher. The teacher then posted a sheet of paper on the board with the student’s names written according to the seats. Alexa and Sharlene sat in the front as these two always get high scores on their exams. Next to them was another, a friend of Alex and Sharlene, Nash Aguas.

“Alright class. Since the semester is about to be over, we’re having a group project. I want you guys to form a group of 3 or 4. You are to present your project about the greatest impact in our country by which caused our country to change. These are the following topics you can choose from.” Their teacher passed some papers to the students. “Since I don’t want any groups to end up having the same topics, I want you to let me know which topics you chose so that no one chooses the same ones. Also, these topics are on a first come first serve basis. I’ll give you until tomorrow to choose your topics.” The added. “I’ll give you ten minutes to form your group. If you can’t seem to find yourself a group, let me know, so I can put you in one.” She ordered.

The students then started to form their group.

“Hey Sharlene, can I join your group?”
“No problem, I’ll let Alexa know.” Sharlene told. “Alexa, Nash wants to join our group.”
“Sure, no problem, what topic do you wanna do the project on?” She started.
“You know, I don’t really know much about the Bataan Death March.” Nash told.
“Me neither. Let’s choose that one. You okay with that one Sharlene?” Alexa asked to make sure.
“I don’t mind. I don’t know much about that one either.” Sharlene agreed. They got the group as well as their topic.

“Hey Nash, I don’t wanna be rude or anything, but just because me and Sharlene are always in the front doesn’t mean we’ll do your part of the project for you ok?” Alexa reminded him with an attitude.
“Hello?! I also sit in the front, meaning I got a good score too. Just cause I look like a slacker doesn’t that mean I am.” Nash returned the attitude.
“Hep hep hep!! ‘No ba?! Stop arguing. Just cause you two don’t know each other well, doesn’t mean you two can argue about this.” Sharlene stopped them.
“Just let me know when the first meeting will be.” Nash told them, getting annoyed.
“I’ll let the teacher know which topic we’re doing.” Alexa stood up and told the teacher.

Alexa then turned around with both of her thumbs up, stating that we got the topic. They then heard their classmates giggling.

“The nerdiests losers in the world. Who would have thought.” Sharlene heard them. She was about to get up and walk up to them, but Nash stopped her.
“Don’t mind, don’t mind. They’re not worth it.” He told her.

The teacher then walked up to the front of the class. “Times up! Raise your hands if you did not find a group.” She announced. “Good. I will be giving you ten minutes every day to work on your project, but you guys are still responsible for handling your project outside of class. I expect you all to finish the project in two weeks.” She instructed. The bell then rang. “Class dismissed.” She continued.

“When are we meeting up?” Nash questioned before leaving the class.
“I’ll send a group text. Just wait for it yeah? I have your number anyway.” Sharlene told him.
“Alright. See ya!” Nash left.
“Alexa, let’s go.” Sharlene invited.

Moments later, Sharlene got home and went straight to her room. The first thing she did was go on her blog.
