Lexi's POV

I plugged in my headphones, playing my favourite song. I gave a big sigh and laid on my bed. I could feel my eyes fill with water. I blinked and a couple tears fell. I made no sound, just listening to the lyrics of the song, matching my feelings at that moment.
A couple knocks came from the other side of my closed bedroom door, but I ignored them. Why was I crying anyway? I hadn't even known Cameron for that long. Not even a whole day. So, why was I so upset?

After about half an hour of listening to the same song on my phone, my door opened. I sat up and took my earphones out. My mum was standing in the doorway with Ben and Jerrys cookie dough ice cream and two spoons. I smiled as she walked over to me, handing my a spoon. While I was scooping spoonfuls of ice cream, my mum hugged me tight.
"What's wrong, babe?" She asked, with her soft, sweet voice. She dug her spoon into the cold desert while I spoke.
"Its nothing really. I just met the new boy today, he called me beautiful and led me on, then while I was looking at his phone, a text came up from his girlfriend," I buried my head into my mum's arm. She rubbed my back, rocking me back and forth.
"Do you know that it was his girlfriend?" She asked, pulling me at arms length.
"Er, no, not really. But I could tell at the way she spoke in the text," She looked at me and raised one eyebrow.
"You should never jump to conclusions," With that, she stood up, leaving the ice cream with me, and closed the door behind her. After that, my phone vibrated. I looked at it and saw a message from Cameron.

'Can you come meet me? At the park?'

I replied with, 'Yeah, I'll be there in a minute,'

I chucked on a pair of leggings and on of my oversized jumpers as it was autumn and quite chilly. I dug out my black converse and slipped them on. I plugged my earphones in again, slipping the excess wire in my jumper pocket, with my phone. I called to my mum and left.
The cold air bit at my face, leaving red blotches behind. My scruffy hair already, was getting attacked by the wind. I stuffed my hands in my jumper pocket to keep them warm.
It only took around five minutes to get to the local park. When I approached the gates, I saw someone sitting on the bench, with his head down and hood up. I didn't know if it was Cameron or not. I walked around, trying to get his attention, but nothing. I decided to ring him.
As the phone rang, the boy didn't even move, but a boy on the other half of the park did.

"Hello?" I heard a male voice say on the phone.
"Ah, I see you," I put the phone down, looking to the other boy. He had his head up now. He had red puffy eyes, and a lit cigarette in his hand. He had a few empty cans of beer surrounding him. Thank god I didn't go over to him.
I walked over to Cameron, butterflies racing around my stomach. He had his head down when I approached him.

"You wanted t-" I started, but was cut off by something I wasn't expecting.
