I awoke on my single day off to the pale grey sun light flooding into my bed room window. The daily hum of Gotham slipping through the cracks of the glass. I yawned loudly as I shuffled on my sofa. I stretched my muscles, I paused. I had fallen asleep up right on the sofa...
My confusion suddenly cleared up when I heard a firmular dark voice echo out from my kitchen.
"Morning"
My jaw dropped as I saw Red Hood standing in my open kitchen. A smirk across his lips. Casually chewing on some left overs I had stores in the fridge. His shirt and crimson helmet were off while his fresh bandages and eye mask were still on.
Anger rose up inside me, I pushed myself up from my sofa. I ignored the small stinging of my muscles, my bare feet quickly marched across the cold wooden floor.
"What the hell?!" I yelled. He looked at me confused, like he had done nothing wrong.
"What?" He shrugged.
There was a small pause between us, my jaw still hang in slightly.
"What are you still doing here?" I asked. He lifted his food filled hands up in the air as if he was under verbal attack.
"You told me too relax my foot."
"I told you too rest it for a few hours, not the whole night!"

Suddenly a knock on the door broke our argument apart. I waved my hand to him, signalling him to hide or move. We hissed a hushed argument, both going back and forth from him moving and him staying.
I plastered a fake smile across my face as I slung open the door.
Cameron stood, a nervous look across his face. My smile quickly faded in to a look of surprise.
"Cameron! Hi" I said, my brain quickly noting Kylie being no where in sight.
"Where Kylie? I didn't think we were gonna hang out until Tuesday" I said.
"Kylie's at home, I was wondering if we could talk"
I pushed my loose hair back from my pale face. He licked his lips nervously, his fists clenched tightly in the middle of his stomach.
"Yeah sure!"
"Katherine, I know it's your day off but...."
Before etheir of us could respond, I heard Red Hood stumbled over something causing a loud crash too erupt from the kitchen. I quickly glanced over as I noticed Red Hood on the floor. His arms attempting to clumsily carry his armour and jacket.
I looked back over to Cameron quickly, hoping he didn't notice.
"What was that?" He asked frowning.
"It's nothing." I blurted out. He raised his left eyebrow, unconvinced.
"I was just cooking, I guess I stacked a mug or something to high." I chuckled nervously.
He nodded slowly. Clearly not sure what to believe,
"Can I come in?" He asked. His hands shoved in to the small front pockets of his jacket. I glanced back once again to see Red Hood slip into my overly large bath room.
I relaxed slightly but still felt on edge, I nodded.
"Sure" I said with a polite smile on my face. I stepped out of the way allowing him in. He looked around curiously as I closed the door behind us. While he looked at my messy kitchen I suddenly noticed that Red Hood's crimson helmet poked out from a cushion.
I quickly launched myself onto the sofa, using the base of my spine and a thick pillow to hide it.
Cameron casually walked around my longue, his eyes scanning the windows in silence.
"So what did you want to talk about?" I blurted out abruptly.

Cameron sharply turned to me, his hands still in his pockets. He stepped forwards, a nervous expression on his face.
"So, um...you know how we've been friends for a while now" he said, he slowly walked towards me as I sat. I frowned,
"Yeah..." I said, my voice suggesting a suspicious tone.
"Well I was wondering if you wanted too...um...I don't know" his smooth voice trailed off. His tone coated in nervous tension.
Though my brain wanted to pay attention, I could just see Red Hood's figure peering out from my bed room door frame from the corner of my eye.
Cameron's words drowned out, I desperately wanted Red Hood to stay hidden. How would he react? Would I be putting Cameron in danger?
Panic built up inside my chest, what was I going to do? I was suddenly snapped back when Cameron spoke once again.

"So...?"

I blinked.

My gaze gave me a blank expression. "Sorry...what did you say?" I asked, confused. He nervously chuckled for a second before repeating himself.
"Do you want to get something to eat with me....just us"
My eyes widened, my face froze. No words came out, I could let out small stutters of words. Once I caught sight of Red Hood's figure I blurted out a random answer.
"Sure!"

I'm such an idiot.

Cameron's face relaxed, a small, cute smirk across his thin lips.
"Really?" He chucked.
I nodded. My brain completely blank,
"Alright, I'll swing by around 8?" He asked.
"Sounds good" I said in dismay, my expression trying to hide my awkwardness. Guiding Cameron to the door, I almost practically shooed him out. He cheerfully left while I sighed once the door silently clicked shut. What had I done?
I like Cameron but never like this before...my hands tenderly rubbed against my face. A loud groan escaping my lips as my spine pressed against the door.

"He seems nice" Red Hood's voice echoed out from my bed room. His armour was now on as he stepped out. Lowering my hands I shot him a glare. Almost stomping back over to the sofa I pulled the stiff, thick crimson helmet from under the pillow I had thrown over.
"Shut up" I snarled as I sharply threw him his helmet. He caught it easily at the base of his stomach. "Make sure he doesn't get involved with this" I said, my voice taking a serious tone.
"Yeah, yeah" he nodded as he slipped on the helmet.
"Don't come back tonight I won't be in" I said as I pushed my hair back into a tight, slick pony tail. He simply nodded, without giving me another answer.
"Calm down I won't crash your little date" he joked as he approached the window.
He slipped out of the window, his body crocheted on the fire escape.
"Don't die Red"
"I won't."
