The Mexican Adventures of Rudy Man Issue #17: American dream

"Stop thiefs!" A museum officer said as a group ran off with some paintings. "Hurry before he shows up!" A thug said. "Too late!" Rudy man said flying over them as Jorge jumped down and pecked one to the ground. "Heads up!" Rudy yelled throwing a soccer ball to ones face stopping him. The final two were a few feet from the van but Rudy sped up right behind one and tripped him. The last one got in the van and dashed down the road. "One more to go" Rudy said, increasing the volume. "I have to out run that?!" The thug thought. "A little to the left" Rudy said as he readied a ball. "Fore!" He said as he slammed a soccer ball into the back of the van making it spin out. The thug got out with the painting in hand. "Any closer and I'll rip it in two!" He said. Rudy smiled at the guy. The thug looked confused until Jorge jumped on Rudy's back and flew at the man's face. Rudy quickly tripped the guy and grabbed the painting as Jorge kept him down. Moments later Paul and Nick came by to arrest the guy "nice work you two" Paul said. "Just happy to help" Rudy said. "It's much appreciated, now to the donut shop!" Nick said peeling out. Majestic man was looking from above a house "guess I'm not needed after all" he said going something else. "Attention all units it seems there's been a car jacking west of here heading south" The police radio went off. "Lets see how fast their car is" Rudy said as they rocketed out of there. "How much farther?" One of the guys who stole the car said. "They said on West avenue right?" The other said. "That should be the next exit and take a left for about 5 minutes" the last guy said. "Alright let's get moving!" He said speeding up. Moments later Rudy's mower landed infront of them before speeding off. "Was that a lawn mower?" One of the guys asked. Rudy kicked the driver as he took the wheel "sure was, her names Wanda or LMX". The guy tried to punch Rudy but he dodged and held the guys hand between his back and the seat. The other punched him from the back but Jorge jumped in from the other window and began attacking the man. "Don't y'all know not to distract the driver" Rudy said as he was about to pull over but the guy he kicked grabbed the wheel and they ran off the highway. "Let go of the wheel!" Rudy said. "Not a chance, I got a job to do" the guy said. The van moved left and right through the streets until reaching the destination it needed to. A group of about ten guys were waiting for the van before it crashed into a wall. Rudy jumped out along with two of the guys while Jorge got the other out. "Looks like this guy just wrecked our car" one of the men in the group said. "Let's show him what his consequence is" another said. They were a group of thugs with some chains and iron piles and such. Rudy was ready to fight until a girl in red, white and blue kicked one of them in the face. "Hey there, thought you could use a hand" she said to Rudy. Rudy was speechless. "A girl?" A thug said. "I prefer lady!" She said pulling out a whip. "Women or not we're taking you down!" The thugs said but she wrapped one up with her whip and threw him at the others. She then kicked one in the face while dodging a punch and kneeing him in the crouch. "Easiest way to bring down a guy" she said winking. The thugs had no chance, her moves were too smooth and powerful. One thug began running for it but she whistled into the air. Seconds later a eagle flew in and slashed at the man's back, bringing him down. The eagle then landed on her shoulder "good work Jess" the girl said. Rudy stood there still amazed by what he saw. The girl turned and looked at Rudy. "Ah I'm sorry, I stole the great Rudy man's fight" she said. Jorge had to peck at Rudy's foot to get a response. "Oh! no no its fine you were amazing" he said. "Who me? Naw I'm still new to this whole super hero thing" She said. Her eagle, Jess got off her shoulder and went to see Jorge. They began to have a little chat of there own. "So what's your name?" Rudy asked. "Oh where are my manners, first I steal your fight and then don't even introduce myself, I'm so sorry" she said. "Don't be, I didn't introduce myself either" Rudy said. "Oh but everyone knows you, your the Mighty Rudy man!" She said posing like him. Rudy blushed a bit "ehehehe I didn't know I was so known". "My name's Jade" she said. "Jade, what a pretty name" Rudy said. "Hey your making me blush" She said. "And who's this little guy?" Jade said talking about Jorge. "Oh he's my partner, Jorge the chicken". Jade giggled "he's cute, this is Jess, she's my partner". "She's super cool, I'm shock you can even have one" Rudy said. "Well it's against the law but she stays with me out of her free will so I can't do anything about that" Jade said. Rudy laughed "yeah I guess your right". "Where did you learn to fight like that?!" Rudy said changing the subject. "Oh that, well it's really self taught but the foundation was martial arts, my dad began teaching me at age 5 so I could and I quote "keep them boys off of me". "Amazing..." Rudy said. "I can't believe I'm really talking to Rudy man your such a cool guy, your skills are way better then mine" Jade said. "What no way, I got a powerful kick but your skill far surpasses mine" Rudy said. "So modest, why don't we continue this conversation.....over some coffee..." Jade said. "Um...um...um" Jorge had to peck him again. "Y-yeah sounds good" Rudy said. She went to the side of the building and pulled out an all blue motorcycle with red handles, white tires and stars all around "lets get going". The two headed to the nearest coffee shop and hit it off, they began talking about each other and laughing all the way through. "So what made you want to be a hero?" Rudy asked. "Well when I was about 6 my mother died in a car crash, not instantly, she was taken to the hospital where she died, she always loved this country, all its beauty and peace" Jade said. "I remember her telling me her final words... "This county is a great place, but no where's perfect, their are people who want to ruin our great country and as long as I live I will love my country...and I hope you'll do the same". "After saying that to me I continued my materials arts training until I was old enough to go to the military but my father wouldn't allow it, he said it's was too risky, if I wanted to fight for my country, do it close to home, not someone else". "After accepting what my father said and taking alot of time to thing I became a police man. I quickly rose up the ranks but it wasn't what I wanted. My father was proud and I saved lifes daily but it wasn't what I wanted. I felt like something was missing, that's when I saw you on TV. "Local super hero saves town yet again!" The reporter said. "I remember it so clearly, that's the day I decided to become a hero. I made my costume and went out. Wearing a uniform by day and costume by night, things were finally how I wanted them. That was, until my father was killed in the cross fire of a robbery. He didn't know of my super hero acts but I knew he wouldn't have agreed with them but the day he died I made a vow that this pain is something people shouldn't know, they have to remember there loved ones with smiles and tears of joy, not cries of regret and guilt. I quit my job that day and left my town, I made my way to different cities and began making a name for myself, I eventually got Jess and now I'm here, talking to the one that started it all" she said looking at Rudy. "I.... don't know what to say...." he said. Before either could say another word a flash bang went off and blinded everyone. Rudy focused his eyes and tried to look for Jade but when he tried to grab her she was gone. Rudy readied himself to fight but no one was there. The flash bomb went off and Jade was gone. Jess flied above calling out to her but no one responded. Rudy looked around but saw nothing. Jess let out a screech as she flew off west. Rudy and Jorge followed. Jess began circling a spot as Rudy and Jorge found what she was circling. It was Jade's bandana lying on the floor. "Jade.....where are you?"
