    "I won't soar, I won't climb.

If you're not here, I'm paralyzed.

Without you, without you.

I can't look, I'm so blind.

I lost my heart, I lost my mind.

Without you, without you."

- "Without You" by David Guetta ft. Usher

    "Favorite color?"

    "Purple and sky blue."

    "Favorite resteraunt to go to?"

"Definately Olive Garden and Bertucci's. I love Italian resteraunts."

    "Okay, favorite...sport?"

"I don't really have one but I would love to do track."

    "Favorite flower?"

"Roses, of course. Roses are my birth flower."

    "Favorite movies?"

"Let's see, I love A Walk To Remember. It's such a great and romantic movie."

"Cool, how about favorite type of guy?"

I looked at him, suspiciously and smiled.

"Someone's who's strong, willing to protect girls, smart but not the know-it-all smart, lean muscles, kind and caring, has to play some kind of instrument and I guess that's it."

"Phew wow...that's alot of characteristics." he commented.

"I can be picky at times." I said with a embarassed smile.

He chuckles and smiles, "You're cute when you're embarassed."

I blushed even more and tried to hide it with strands of my hair.

"So, do you have anything to ask me? Y'know, to know more about me?" he asks.

"I guess, um...What's your favorite color?" I asked.

    "Green." he replies.

"Favorite type of...girl?" I asked, shyly.

He smiled, "I like cheerleaders. Perferably brunette and has to be good looking. And I guess she has to be smart so she can help me with school work."

    Wait...did he just say...

    "Cheerleaders?" I asked him.

He nodded as he took a sip of his root beer, "I find it cute."

    "Oh...alright." I said, softly.

Why do I have this feeling that...no, no, Ariana.

"Oh, crap. I better head home. My mom told me that I had be home by 4." he said, standing up.

"So soon?" I asked with a frown.

"Unfortunately, yeah. Since I'm suspended, I can't really go anywhere for a long period of time." he replies.

    "Oh, right..." I said, softly.

"I guess I'll see you around, Ari." he says and walks out of diner.

"Bye." I said, quietly and sat back down.

I stared down at the table, where the check was.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"What? He didn't pay?!" Kerri shouts as we sat at our table in the cafeteria.

    I nodded, "Yeah."

"The hell? Usually, a guy would pay the check. I don't get it. And are you sure he told you that he likes cheerleaders?" she asks.

    "Perferably brunette." I added.

"Yikes. And I thought Derek was the sweet and sensitive type of guy." she said.

I sighed and played with my frenchtoast on my lunch plate, "Never judge a book by its cover."

"Aww, cheer up, Ari. I'm sure he was having a bad day or something." she said.

"I don't think he was having a bad day if he ate two plates of pancakes, happily." I said.

"Ew, I hope he knows how much calories are in that." she said with a disgusted expression on her face.

I continued to play with my food and sighed again.

"It sure is quiet without Cameron and Derek." she says, "Where's Carter?"

"I dunno. Maybe he's getting lunch or something." I replied.

    "Y'know Ari..."

I looked up and smiled at Kerri, "Yes?"

    "Hm, nevermind." she said.

"What? Why? Tell me!" I pleaded.

    "I dunno...I do trust you but this...well..."

    "What is it?"

    "Carter..."

    "What about him?"

    "Does he...have a girlfriend?"

I looked at her with suspicion, "No..."

    "Oh okay. Just...just curious."

"Do you...like my brother?" I asked her.

She looks at me in shock, "Huh? No! Well, kinda. As a friend."

I cracked a grin, "Okay. As a friend, then." I got from my seat and threw my unfinished lunch away.

"Wait, Ariana! No! I didn't mean that!"

"You love him, don't you?" I asked her.

"Well, yes...I do." she finally admitts.

I couldn't help but to smile, "Okay. That's all I wanted to hear."

"Wait, are you gonna tell him?" she asks.

"No, of course not! I mean, best friends wouldn't tell their crush that she likes him. My lips are sealed, Kerri." I said.

    "Thanks...you better no---"

    "I swear to God, I won't tell." I said.

"Okay. Thank you." she said with a smile.

So so soooo sorry for the delay!

I got banned for coming on the computer because of my grades.

English is still my worst subject. LOL. Ironic, isn't it?

Anyway, I managed to sneak on and post this chapter up to make up my delay. And I hope it does.

I probably won't be on for a while again. But report cards are out this week and if my grades are at least some-what decent, I might get my privilege to get back on again.

So for now, see you guys later :)

And Happy Halloween (and Happy Mischeif Night! I'm going out to sabotage my neighborhood later ;))!!
