Chapter Ten

*Alistair's POV*

Reaching over to silence the noise that shattered my sleep, i heard the alarm clock fall to the floor with a loud thud.

"Damn it." I mumbled getting out of bed to pick it up. Climbing back under the blankets, I felt around the bed for Azel, but couldn't find him anywhere. I felt a sharp pain shoot up my face as i rolled over. The cut from his dad's ring had swollen up and was beginning to sting. Getting up one again, i took a shower then brushed my teeth before heading downstairs to the kitchen. Azel stood ever the stove frying some eggs for breakfast. His shirtless frame burned into my eyes as i leaned against the wall to watch him.

"Need some help?" I offered, not moving from my spot.

He screamed and threw a whisk at my direction that i quickly hit away.

"Would you stop sneaking up on me?!?"

He yelled turning back to the stove. I suppressed a laugh and sat at the table with a plate loaded with food.

"I don't think I'm going to school today." Azel stated, taking the seat next to me.

"How come?"

"Babe, look at me."

I took my eyes from the food in front of me. The bruises on his face had gotten darker over night, but he still looked breathtaking.

"You're beautiful sweetheart."

"I look like the result of a broken restraining order."

I broke out in laughter at his words.

"I'm gonna wake up Lloyd." He stated, smiling at me. I felt his lips against mine for a brief second before i pulled him to my lap.

"Don't bother. If you're not going to school, I'm not either. And if i stay home, he'll want to as well."

"Are you sur-"

"I'm not leaving you here alone babe. Besides, its going to storm again, and i don't wanna drive in the rain."

As if following a command, a burst of thunder sounded overhead, taking the power out, and causing Azel to jump closer to my chest. I held his close to me for a few minutes before lifting him up, and taking him to his bedroom. Taking the spot next to him on the bed, he brought his arms to my chest and cuddled close. My arms made their way around him and my lips quickly found his once. I could feel the goosebumps making way throughout my body, as his tongue danced against mine. How did he do this to me? I've kissed other people before, men and woman, but none if them felt like this. He pulled himself from me and closed his eyes. His breathing had gotten softer, more relaxed, until he finally fell asleep in my arms.

"What the hell guys! We're late for school...why are you both shirtless?"

My eyes shot open as i jumped from the bed and pushed Lloyd out the room.

"Quiet down! You'll wake him up!"

His frown turned to a smirk in record time as he stared at me, crossing his arms.

"You've got some explaining to to do."

He stated, tapping his feet.

"I will later." I yawned. "I'm going back to sleep."

Turning around, I walked into Azel's room and closed the door before Lloyd could object. I took my spot next to him in the bed and wrapped my arms around him once more.

"What time is it?" He groaned leaning into me.

"Good morning hon, its a little after nine."

He turned over to face me and pressed his lips to mine.

"Thanks for staying with me last night babe." He smiled, running his hands down my chest.

"Anytime."

He kissed me one for time before saying he needed a shower and walked out the room.

"I better go fill Lloyd in." I mumbled, climbing of the bed and heading downstairs. He was watching tv from the couch, still under some blankets. I took a seat next to him and he muted his show.

"Start talking guy." He stated, pulling his eyes from the screen.

"Before i do, i have a few questions."

"Fair enough, what's on your mind?"

I sat there, debating my words then asked "how did you know how I felt about him?" He started laughing so i hit him to show how serious i was.

"Ouch! What the hell man?"

"Just answer the question."

"I'm not blind Alistair, i could see the way you looked at him. Especially when you thought no one else was."

It was that obvious? Did people around the school see? True i'd only been there for a few weeks, but was i already labled as a homo? I guess my face gave away my next question cause he followed it with,

"I don't think anyone else could tell, i knew cause I've known you all my life. It was just kind of obvious to me."

I felt a sigh of relief leave me at the end of his words. I didn't have a problem with people knowing, i just didn't want a reputation with out solid evidence.

"Now, tell me everything."

After relaying the story to him, he smiled and hugged me.

"I'm happy for ya man."

"Me too." I laughed.

"GROUP HUG!" Azel yelled, jumping on my back. I didn't even hear him walk up.

I stood up as his arms wrapped around my neck, gripping tightly, so he didn't fall.

"Don't move!" Lloyd demanded taking out his camera and snapping a picture.

"This is so going on facebook."

I couldn't help but laugh. The entire scene just seemed perfect, and we spent the next few hours just taking pictures and laughing. At around three we all decided to go get some lunch, so i drove us out to a restaurant we found online, thanks to Lloyd's phone. After eating and heading out to the car, i kicked Lloyd in the ass for giving the waitress my number.

"Hey, um, do you guys know how to get to cherrywood street?"

The voice came from behind us. Turning around and looking at the guy, he kept his distance from us, and repeated the question. He looked around our age, maybe a year older. His face was clean and shaved. Our bodies seemed identical, though mine was a bit bigger, and his strawberry blonde hair flowed freely in the wind.

"Yeah, that's my street." Lloyd stated, with a smile from ear to ear.

"THANK GOD! may i follow you there? I'm so fucking lost."

I didn't like the idea of a random guy i don't know following me, but i couldn't help but feel bad for him. We found out his name is Logan, and that he just moved here with his grandma. If I didn't know better, I would have sworn he was flirting with Lloyd. He didn't even bat an eyelash when me and Azel kissed.

"I guess I'll see you at school tomorrow then." He stated walking up his driveway.

"Thanks again guys. Goodbye Lloyd."

After driving back to Azel's place, and telling my cousin to shut up about how cute the guy was, we all walked inside and put in a movie. I heard something smash against the door. Jumping up, i told the boys to wait in the living room, and went to check it out. I felt something smash against my face as i stepped onto the porch. Feeling something slide down my cheek, i reached up and found out it was an egg that hit me.

"Oh shit!"

Looking across the yard, i saw Gary and his friends rushing to a car and peeling off down the road.

"They're dead." I mumbled, clenching my fist. "They're dead."
