Poems

Some may see a poem and glance, but never really look.

They would rather read what they call an "actual book".

Because for them a poem is a bore

No true reason, no actual point or inner decor.

They do not see the point behind it.

For them there is no benefit.

Just because it has the title "Poem", does not always mean

that every one you come across is bad.

It just means you have not really found the

right one and the fact that you haven't is just sad.

A poem goes far more in depth than many stories can

because a poem is one's true self written line by line from our inner core,

where our deep emotion began.

It is where emotion is so incredibly raw

where one does not bother concealing a single flaw.

Because it is their moment to let go

of anything and everything that they know.

Hurt, pain, grief, loss, depression, love, and so much more,

so what more could you possibly ask for.

When I read something I want to feel it,

especially when it is something I can relate to leaving me hanging on to

every word bit by bit.

It leaves me yearning for more

Bringing up my own feelings that I often times choose to ignore.

It inspires me to be free

to truly be me.

To let go, rather than hold in.

Because holding in just leaves you aching within.

So the next time you hear the word "Poem," don't judge or assume

that there is no point in giving it a chance.

Just take a moment to at read a part of it because for all you know..

it might catch your eye and expand your horizon as well as cause your

views to change and vision to suddenly enhance.
