I sit down next to Ciara as the speeches start,Drake goes up and I shake my head,already knowing it's gon be wild.
"I've known these two people since we were kids,always got in trouble,whoopins from each other's moms,snuck out the house,before they even grew feelings for each other we all knew they were soulmates,a couple years ago we were at the movies and Ciara invited this guy,they were talking all night,laughing and shit,and this nigga August went off! It was time to leave and she was still talking to dude,but Aug want having it,he always come to me talkin bout,Drake I don't know what to do,I'm in love her but I can't be with her,well my brother look where you are now,sittin next to a beautiful intelligent woman that I consider like my sister,Ciara,Ciara,Ciara,babygirl y'all finally stopped fucking around and made it official,I've been waiting for so many things from them,it's sad,my little nephew bout to be here soon and I can't wait to meet him,congrats to you guys and I pray that y'all last forever" He says
Everybody laugh and claps,next Nicki spoke.
"This bighead ass nigga drove me insaaaaane with his emotions,I wanted to slap him a few times cause they wouldn't stop playing,I'm glad y'all finally got it together though,Ciara your ass come whining to me takin bout,Nicki how am I gonna tell him,I feel so special around him,child y'all were a hot mess,I'm glad y'all pulled it together though,keep love alive" She says
"I have a surprise for you" Ci whispers to me
"Ok" I smile
After more people say stuff,and soon the one person I never thought I would see here walks up.
"Are you ok with this?" Ci asks
"It's fine,thanks princess for going out of your way,I just don't know how to feel" I say
"It's fine" She says kissing my cheeks
I'm not mad at her I just don't know how this person is gonna act,it's been 2 years since I've seen or talked to them.
"Me and August haven't always had the best relationship,we haven't spoke in 2 years and I want to apologize about how our last conversation went,you've been through a lot and I'm sorry I wasn't there to help you like a mother should,I'm glad that you found somebody to love you for you,I knew Ciara was the one for you since the day I met her when y'all were kids,thank you Ciara for helping him become a better person,I know it's not gonna be easy to let me back in your life,all I'm asking for is your forgiveness,I do love you August,I'm proud of both of you,I'm happy for y'all,and I'm truly sorry" My mom says
I stare at her and see she has tears in her eyes,I look in her eyes and can tell that she's sincere. I get up and walk over to her. I hug her firmly and whisper in her ear "I forgive you ma". More people go up to speak and I'm just overwhelmed with joy,I finally married the love of my life,we're having twins,and my mom is here.
"Alright let turn up!" Victor yells
"Drinks On Us" by Mike Will Made-It came on and all us young people went on the dance floor.
"Everybody wanna know where you got your stuff,and you say "Oh man, I got the muthafuckin plug" Everybody sayin', "Aye, where you get that from?"
