Meghan's POV

It's hard to describe how I have been feeling these past few days. Cedric and I have been pretty much inseparable. We eat together, do our homework together, walk to class together, and have been continuing our hard-core training. The first task is now only two weeks away, and perhaps he was just being nice, but Cedric said that our training sessions have given him a lot more confidence.

Maci has warmed up to me a little bit. It's only because she's got herself a boyfriend now. Fred Weasley. I was happy for her at first, but it's quite annoying when you turn around and there they are, snogging their hearts out. I miss our friendship. We swore that boys would never come between us, but lo and behold, they have.

Payton is now my favorite friend. It sounds rather childish to be picking favorite friends; but I really need someone to be there for me, and to be able to listen. Payton fits that perfectly. Right now, however, she is in the hospital wing. She won't tell me what happened, but I have a sneaking suspicion it has to do with those Weasley twins.

Friday evening I was in the common room, trying to not die from the bitter coldness. I had a sweater on, I was wrapped up in a blanket, and next to the fire. Cedric sat in an armchair behind me, studying.

"Are you sure you're not absolutely freezing?" I asked Cedric, for the thirty-second time.

He laughed and gazed down at me. "I'm sorry, but I'm really not. Are you feeling okay?"

"I feel fine," I replied honestly. "Well, other than the fact that it feels like I'm sitting in an igloo, that is."

He sighed quietly and looked at me lovingly. I could tell he was really worried about me.

"Maybe you should go see Madam Pomfrey," he suggested kindly.

I sighed childishly. "Do I have to?"

"Ha-ha," he joked, "that's not going to work. Yes, you do."

I reluctantly got up, and stood there, waiting for him to say what I really wanted him to say.

"I'll come with you," he whispered, putting his things aside and taking my hand. I smiled.

"Your hand is freezing!" he exclaimed, quickly removing his grasp.

"I told you!" I whispered accusingly.

"Come on," he replied kindly. He grabbed my hand again and we headed across the common room.

"Yo, Diggory!" called a voice from across the room.

Cedric made an overly annoyed face. Thankfully, I was the only one who saw it, but I laughed anyway.

"Yeah, what's up, Leo?" asked Cedric, turning to face him.

"Summers and I have been working on a lil' somethin' over the week. We just finished the first one. Wanna see it?"

"Sure," replied Cedric hesitantly. He turned to me, and I shrugged.

Summers handed something to Leo and Leo handed it to Cedric.

Cedric looked at it and smiled, but a few seconds later, his expression turned to shock. He hid his shock with a fake smile and passed it to me. It was a small badge. On the badge were the words "SUPPORT CEDRIC DIGGORY"

"That's awesome!" I whispered to Cedric.

"Keep looking at it," he muttered under his breath.

The badge then changed to "POTTER STINKS!"

I was furious. I showed my fury, too. My eyes narrowed and I stared accusingly at Leo and Summers.

"What the hell are you-" I started, but was cut off. "Thanks guys," said Cedric quicky. "They're really great."
