Bible Reading: Matthew 6:25-34

Do Not Worry

25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

28 "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'

32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Foundational Verse:

- Matthew 6:26 "Your heavenly Father feeds [the birds of the air]. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

Rhema Word:

- We are important because God loves us deeply.

- Do Not Worry!

Messages:

- 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

- 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

- We are important because God loves us.

- One of the characteristics of our heavenly Father is that He is our great provider.

- God's provision is not in response to our obedience or because we deserve it—it is because of our value to God (Matthew 6:26).

Promises:

- But we must remind ourselves that even though we may feel forgotten by our Creator God, we are not. God not only made us in His image (Genesis 1:26-27), but He also values each of us individually and sent His Son to save us (John 3:16).

- Even in our darkest hours, we can rest in the knowledge we are never alone, for our loving God is with us.

Commands:

- Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness.

- Do not worry about tomorrow.

- Do not make yourself feel that you are unseen by others and especially by GOD.

Warnings:

- None.

Applications & Prayer:

Dear GOD, thank you for your deep and amazing love for me.

You have reminded me again not to worry.

Because You are my great provider!

I should not worry for You will always provide what we need.

Even when we don't say it to You, You already know.

I know that I am much more important than any animals or plants to You.

Thank You, Lord, that You never leave me alone and that You know all about me.

Make me aware of Your presence so I may share that comfort with others who are feeling alone too.

You will never let me feel that I am worthless and unseen.

You will always be my refuge, my stronghold.

I know that living with Your laws will make my life meaningful.

Let me keep Your precious words in my lips, heart, mind, and soul

That I may able to do and apply everything You have commanded.

Thank You for calming my heart Father GOD.

IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.
