Seize the Day

You and I bonded by love

Together we made sweet memories

But in a blink of an eye

The blue skies turned grey

Rain fell and washed us away.

Sweet memories were forgotten

The line that connected us was broken

What went wrong? We both don''t want to know

But what we had, I simply couldn't let go.

If I could turn back the time, I would

If I could stop the clock from tickin', I would

If I could seize the day for the night not to come, I would

All these things I would do

Just to have the chance to be with you.

But things weren't like what they were before

Alone, in the middle of silence

My chaotic heart wished to seize the day

So I could hold you in my arms so close

Tears fell from my eyes 

And blinding me was the painful truth

Wishing to seize the day, I was a little too late....

This is the song I've written inspired from the short film our instructor has told us to watch. However, I can't call this a song because it doesn't have a melody yet.. So I'm calling this a poem:)
