Camping Nights
I came out of our tent one night
Awaken from asleep
I bent my knees and started to walk
While tiptoeing my feet
I was disturbed by sparkling lights
Staring ahead of me
Countless stars I had seen
Winking back at me
I looked up straight at the sky
It was filled with dinky whites
They all appeared as little dots
Like carved up in the sky
I stared for about a minute
It caught out my attention
I wondered what made them best of all
‘Til I really felt the sensation
Other people may think on crazy ideas
Like about a shooting star
Where all you need to do is ask
For money or for a car
My murmuring was broken
When thick clouds started to stretched out
Other stars were caught by
As thunder began to shout
The wind began to change
And started sweeping on the ground
The campfire had burnt out itself
The roaring sound turned loud
Even the wind was too angry
And our tent almost split upon
But woods were tied and buried deep
Still standing ‘til it was gone
It was almost early morn
When I realized about the time
It took me for a little while
To look up straight and smile
I laid my back against the plat
I blew out the hanging lamp
I said to myself,
I had the best camp!
