It was dark when we pulled into the parking lot of the hotel, Danny’s car swinging into the space next to us. I yawned, stretching in my seat as I unbuckled my belt and pulled the handle of the door, allowing it to swing open wide. Tonight would be my last night as Riley Yeager, tomorrow I was getting married. I almost laughed at the thought. I leaned back on the car door as Logan, Brogan, Matt, Landon and Danny piled out of the battered Volvo beside us, all in various stages of disarray. Matt and Brogan emerged hand-in-hand and it amazed me that he’d chosen me over her, they were so in love. Landon looked a little awkward still, but amazingly he was smiling and laughing along with the others. I was washed with relief and I realised how much this whole make-up thing with Landon was weighing on me. Only two things made this moment less than perfect, I thought as Finn slipped his hand into mine, kissing my temple, the first was the fact that Nate wasn’t here, he was meeting someone back home and couldn’t get here until tomorrow morning. The second, and most important, were the dark circles that darkened poor Danny’s dark eyes. He’d been crying, that much was obvious, and he looked ragged, like he hadn’t slept since we told him. I couldn’t help but feel that little bit of my heart that still loved him shatter at the sight of him so low, but Finn’s hand in mine reminded me of the fact Danny and I could never work so long as my English teacher was still in the equation, however much it hurt me to hurt Danny. I was just grateful that he didn’t hate me, and was incredibly proud of him for coming; I’d never admired him more. Quietly we ambled towards the hotel, yawns and tired whispers the only things to break the silence. Finn and I walked up to the front desk, still hand in hand, and he named our party and collected the room keys. We’d decided tonight was our night to do nothing but sleep, tomorrow night, we would party!

“No way are you two sharing a room.” Brogan commanded as me and Finn made to go into one of the rooms.

“What?” He asked, frowning in confusion.

“Its bad luck to see the bride the day of her wedding. Riley, you’re in with Danny.” She grinned, snatching the key from Finn’s hand and using it to unlock the door for herself and Matt.

“No fair,” I whined “You get to sleep with your boyfriend.”

“Yes sweetie, but I’m not marrying him in the morning.” She laughed and Matt nodded in agreement, a smirk plastered across his lips.

“Some Maid of Honour you are.” I grumbled as I confirmed that Finn and I were indeed outnumbered by the others. He simply rolled his eyes, chucking a set of keys at Landon and Danny, before grabbing my belt loops and pulling me into his chest. I giggled in response.

“I guess we’d better say goodnight then.” He whispered, his eyes sparkling mischievously as he bent his head and pressed his lips firmly against mine. I closed my eyes, melting into his body and kiss instantly as his lips ravaged my own. I had no control over the way my hands slid under the hem of his shirt to feel his amazing abs, the way I moaned audibly against his lips when I tasted him and the way, when his hands slid down to cup my ass, that my legs wrapped tight around his waist, my hips moving ever so slightly against his. Finally, when I was on the verge of passing out through lack of breath, he pulled back and grinned at me. His eyes were filled with lust and I could feel how much he wanted us to be sharing a room, but he let my legs drop anyway, his eyes locked on mine as his chest heaved in an attempt to gain some oxygen back.

“Goodnight Finn.” I said dazzled and he chuckled slightly.
