A/N- The song in this chapter is by Triptyq. It is called Void of a Legend.

Trixie's point of view

I hailed another carriage, telling it to follow Erik's.

I started to sing to myself, just going over everything that had happened lately.

"Sometimes I wonder
What's going through
That pretty head of yours

Your pretty eyes
And charming smile
You look at me and I

I want to make you want to try to be
The best yet
I want to make you want to try to be
The best yet

But it's just a day
Not much to waste
Another day
What's there to waste

If a day is all it takes to prove yourself
Why are you still waiting
If a day is all it takes to turn around
What you contemplating

I know it's hard to find your place in this world
I know

I know it's hard trying to fill the void
Of a legend
A legend
A legend
The void of a legend
A legend
A legend..."

Eriks point of view

I stared out the window, misery leaking out of me as I sang.

"Some times I wonder
What's holding you
And keeping you behind

Just say you'll try
Just say you'll see
You turn to me and I

I want to make you want to try to be
The best yet
I want to make you want to try to be
The best yet

But its just a day
Not much to waste
Another day
Whats there to waste

If a day is all it take to prove yourself
Why are you still waiting
If a day is all it takes to turn around
What you contemplating

I know it's hard to find your place in this world
I know

I know it's hard trying to fill the void
Of a legend
A legend
A legend
The void of a legend
A legend
A legend..."

I got out of the carriage, thanking the driver and paying him.

I noticed another carriage stop, as I headed to my room.

"Why the hard face
You don't have to do it all alone
Dont you see I'm on your team
And I wont let you pull away

By the down low
You know you've got to turn it back
To fill it with love
Cause I won't give up!" I heard a voice sing out behind me.

I turned around to see who was singing. It was the most beautiful voice I had ever heard... and it just so happened to be Trixie.

"Patricia..." I whispered.

Gustave's point of view

"Mandie! Papa said that we need to work!" I whined.

She looked up from her newspaper, and rolled her eyes.

"Well, he's not here. He won't know." She said, matter-of-factly.

"But... what do I do?" I asked her.

She just shooed me from the room.

I sat down on the floor of her kitchen.

Mandie doesnt love me. Trixie left me because she didnt love me. Mommy left me. Daddy left me. No one cares about me.

I got an idea.

If they can leave, then so can i.

He packed a small bag, grabbed enough money for a boat, and left.
