Erik's point of view 🌹

Hearing Gustave had a dream like mine shook me.

What if it really was my darling angel... Back as an angel?

"Once there was a night... Beneath a moonless sky... Too dark to see a thing... Too dark to even try..."

'I stood to your side... To tell you I must go... I couldn't see your face... But sensed you even so.'

I took a wavering breath.

'And I touched you.'

"And i felt you."

"And I heard those ravishing refrains..."

'The music of you your heart...'

"The singing in your veins..."

'And I held you...'

"And I touched you."

'And embraced you.'

"And I felt you..."

"And with every breath and every sigh..."

'I felt no longer scared...'

"I felt no longer shy.. "

'At last our feeling bared...'

"Beneath a moonless sky..."

By the end of the chorus we were both singing with such frantic passion.

"Angel?" I called out tentatively, for she had fell silent.

'Love never dies... Love never falters... Once it has spoken, love is yours...'

I was crying.

'Love never fades... Love never alters... Hearts may get broken, love endures...'

"Hearts may get broken. Love endures" i whispered.

"Oh how I've missed you angel..." I murmured.

'Erik...' She whispered.

My eyes filled with tears from hearing her voice saying my name. "Yes, love?"

'I fear for Gustave.'

I was confused.

"Why? Angel, he seems perfectly fine..."

Her voice was urgent. 'He has no friends. He is haunted nightly by having seen Meg kill me. It terrified him. His scared that Meg will come back to kill you or him...'

I was shocked. I had never even noticed.

"If only you were still here. If only this wasn't a beautiful dream..." I murmured.

"Erik!" A high pitched voice rang out.

I cringed. Gustave must have let her in.

A flurry of short, spiked blue, green, and pink hair blurred past me! And plopped down on the couch.

"Why are you here, Trixie?" I groaned.

Her green eyes lit up with excitement.

"Erik. We've been hired by the opera populaire! We are to help them choose and execute an opera!"

My breathing hitched.

"Trixie... I don't get along with Firmin and Andre. I must decline. Get another effect person." I said, bluntly.

"Hmmm.... Fine. But I get to ask you something. Why do you wear a mask?"

I rolled my eyes. "For the dramatic look."

She seemed to accept that, and skipped out.

''Erik, this. Erik, that. Geeze Trixie! Get a life!"

I had had it with her.

"I would like to thank Trixie for ending my BEAUTIFUL dream." I hissed.

'Cheer up, Angel.'

I perked up instantly. "Darling... That wasn't just a dream?"

'Never.'

I was so happy. "If only i could see you..." I whispered mournfully.

I felt something wrap around my shoulders, and shivered. I looked up, and saw my Angel.

Christine I love you...
