Everyone who is over the age of nine knows the s-word! (DEPRESSING!) 

But do YOU know the origin?

It came from early 19th century boats, originally called Ship High In Transit, which is where they But they don't know the origin! It actually originated from boats in the early 19th century. It stands for Ship High In Transit. They used to load manure onto ships and into the bottom. 

Eventually, it got too stinky in there, and the sailors got tired of saying it, and so they shortened it to...well, you know what.
