Finding Nemo is one of the most popular Pixar movies of all time, and Nemo and Marlin are both boys. Nothing out of the ordinary about that, right?

Clown fish are hermaphrodites, and so in clown fish communities, if it is lacking a male or female, then one of the fish would have to change it's gender, in order to keep the community alive.
And since all of the other fish died, including the mother, Marlin would have to turn into a girl, and do the "dirty stuff" with Nemo.
