Chapter Six
The next morning I woke up feeling a bit worse for wear. Tyler had decided that beer was not enough and went out and bought two bottles of wine. I groaned and tried to remember the last parts of the night. I groaned even more as a memory came back to me,
“Tyler, promise me one thing”
“What is it?”
“Don’t move out in the next year. If you do then an ugly flatmate might come” Tyler laughed,
“So you think I’m hot?”
“Smoking hot! Now pinky promise me” I held out my pinky and with a grin he pinky promised me.
I buried my head into the pillow, trying to erase the memory. Stupid alcohol, I am never going to drink again. I heard a knock at my door,
“Rose, are you awake?”
“No” I replied, embarrassed. The door opened and Tyler poked his head in,
“I’ll make some toast for you, so go have a shower”
“Do I have to?”
“Yes”
“Ugh, ok” I pulled myself out of bed with a beet red face and headed towards the shower. I spent the next fifteen minutes cleaning myself and felt a bit better when I emerged. I walked into the kitchen and found toast and orange juice.
“Wow, gourmet much” I teased, sitting at the counter and taking a sip of orange juice.
“Well who needs to be able to cook when they are ‘smoking hot’” I accidentally spat my orange juice all over the counter which made Tyler laugh.
“So you…ah…remember that huh?” I asked as I cleaned up the counter, my face burning. Tyler took a little while to get himself under control before answering,
“I wasn’t as drunk as you. Who knew you were such a light weight”
“Hey! I had 6 beers and then a bottle of wine-what do you expect?!”
“I had the same amount and was fine”
“Well you’re a guy”
“A smoking hot guy it appears” He teased, taking a bite of his toast.
“You’re never going to let me forget that now are you?”
“Never” He replied, grinning, making my heart jump a little.
“Such a jerk. Anyway, what are your plans for today?”
“I have none, just relax”
“Same. With this hangover, I’m not sure if it’s possible to even go outside” I finished off my toast at the same time as Tyler and grabbed the dishes before rinsing them off and sticking them into the dishwasher.
“Let’s go see if DVDs can be seen by both of us” We both walked into the lounge and I put in ‘Scott pilgrim VS the world’ before pushing the play button.
“Scott Pilgrim VS the world?” Tyler questioned. I let out the breath I didn’t realise I had been holding,
“So we can both watch DVDs, that’s good” I settled back down onto the couch, trying to keep a fair distance between us. Tyler slid over and slung an arm around me, making my face turn red and my heart beat fast.
“Don’t you want to be more like this?” He teased. I quickly removed the arm from around me,
“Jerk” I glared at him but he just laughed. We both settled down and started watching the DVD.
“Rose, Rose” I felt my body been shaken lightly and I opened my eyes to see the credits rolling and my head was on Tyler’s shoulder. I quickly righted myself,
“Uh…sorry” I said, again my face burning up. I was blushing way too much today.
“So you should be! Who knew just your head would be that heavy” Tyler rolled his shoulder. I smacked him on the arm,
“Shut up! Did you like the movie” I stretched,
“I couldn’t hear it over your snoring” I froze,
“Did I really snore?” Tyler laughed and pushed me, making me fall off the couch which made him laugh even more,
“You’re so gullible. I liked the movie-it was funny. Now I want to show you my favourite movie but first go make lunch” I looked at the clock to see it was already midday,
“Say it nicely this time”
“Make my lunch, woman?” I smacked his forehead but went to the kitchen anyway, trying to still my beating heart.
So this is chapter six! I am sorry it took me so long…I had my birthday on Friday and then was hungover on Saturday….really really really bad hangover! I threw up so many times and was sick until 11pm…the whole day was feeling like I wanted to throw up…people, don’t drink!
