In the mdc, every once and while (or every day) you'll see a cover that looks just like another users or a popular graphic. Here is a list of overused graphic concepts, ideas, etc.

If I Fucking Stay on Wattpad: This is a type of cover on wattpad inspired by the 'If I Stay" movie poster. It's basically people cropped in squares and organized into a square or rectangle. This makes me scream and question originality on wattpad.

I got a cut on my face and my blood is black: Cuts or cracks on a person's face using a texture. It's not bad, but it's almost everywhere.

Dot constellation: I actually like these, even if many do these wrong. But people will use this everywhere. Sometimes i wonder if they are just using the same texture or got creative and drew lines and dots.

Starlight, Star bright, imma kill a bitch tonight: So there are two things i am referencing. First,  the stars hanging on a string in the same pattern. all. the. time. Second, green rectangle star texture. There are 3 rectangles with a green-ish yellow gradient and white stars on this. While it is a beautiful texture, everyone in the mdc seems to use it.

Tick tock, my time on wattpad is on a clock? (ew rhyming is too hard): So there are two overused clock textures (why are there always two?). The First is an old clock with the time in roman numerals. I like this png/texture. I've used that texture. This texture has been used a lot.

"those famous paper clouds": i get this all the time where a requester literally asks for a cover and specifically requests for "those famous paper clouds." and they're not bad...just so overused that it's difficult to comprehend why people even want them anymore. does it define your story in some way or another? 'cause apparently, all teen fic stories are the same. we got friggin paper clouds on strings in this world where paper clouds are important and somehow significant to the story. The story paper towns doesn't have any paper clouds. It has a map. and a push pin.

hide my ugliness with topaz clean: topaz clean isn't the solution to everything, so stop using so much of it to the point that your model is either barbie or a wrinkly old grandma. it helps blending if you use it correctly, but if you use enough of it, you will get horrifying results. like, worse than meatball's face on a good day or my hair every day.

|STEP. OUTSIDE. OF. THE. BOX.| : first off, are you proud of my word art? I put it in the best box ever,

__________________________right? Anyway, This is when you add words to a box. And when i say box, i mean a solid 1 color box that may or may not be tilted. These are USUALLY really pretty (Unless your text is just a mess or you mess up a solid box).

averlie threads: i don't think i spelled her name right, but there are 2 threads. THe first is a full body/celeberty thread with the text to the side. Every time it seems to be averlie. Guys, I'm pretty sure she didn't make 50 threads just like this. Is averlie a new brand name or...

Metal leaves: I love this png. It's really nice, but gosh so overused. In most blends/banners you will be able to find these a)behind a model b)behind a giant head or c)the thing a model is peaking out of. BUT DONT YOU JUST LOVE HOW IT lOOKS UGGG WHY MUST YOU BE SO OVERUSED

Once again, these are not horrible things. We've used them, you have used them, everyone has thought of using them. As you can, we *cough* meatball not me *cough* has fangirled over some of these ideas. Just make sure that it doesn't look crappy and generic to many other graphics.
