Carrie stood there at the end of her bed contemplating what she was going to do next. She fiddled the knief in between her fingers tracing it on the skin of her wrist. She sighed as a pair of lights flashed through her room her immediately realizing Mike was home. She slowly placed the knief under her pillow then walked down the stairs a fake smile plastered on her face as her husband walked through the door.
"Hey beautiful." Mike smiled wrapping his arms around her.
"Hey..." Carrie replied forcing a smile as she looked up at him.
"Everything okay?" He asked gently kissing her lips. Carrie just nodded her head in response hugging him tightly. She wanted so badly to tell Mike how she really felt, but she knew if she told him what she was thinking about doing he'd be upset. "Do you want to go out to eat?" Mike smiled leading her up the stairs into there room.
"Yeah I suppose." She replied with a soft laugh walking into the closet to pick out something to wear. While Mike began removing the bed sheets to clean them. He gasped as he picked up Carrie's pillow seeing the knif laying on the bed sheet.
"Care..." He said picking it up with a sigh. Mike didn't know what to do. He had been trying so hard to make Carrie happy to do everything to make her happy but it wasn't working and he was thinking about giving up. "What do you want me to do?" He asked as she walked out of the closet.
"Mike I-"
"No... Please just tell me what you want me to do to make you happy..." Mike sighed cutting her off as he through the knife back onto the bed walking towards her. "What do you want me to do?" He asked standing in front of her now.
"Mike... Please just let's not talk about that now let's go out to eat, spend some time together." Carrie said becoming upset even though she didn't want to. She didn't want to cry or talk about anything regarding her current state of mind.
"Carrie how can we forget all about this? I can't go to work I can't go to the store without worrying if your going to be here when I get back." Mike sighed him also becoming upset. "Its not fair. Its not fair at all..." He added.
"Look Mike I am sorry!" Carrie exclaimed angry now. "I can't help it! I want to be happy but I just can't!" She screamed tears falling from her eyes. "Do you know what it feels like to see everyone talking about how much they hate you!" She cried throughing her hands in the air in frustration.
Mike just stood there not knowing what to say. He was completely speechless. He hadn't seen Carrie act this way and it worried him a lot.
"Care..." He sighed moving closer to Carrie. "Look at me... Baby please." Mike said placing his hands on the side of her arms. "Just talk to me... Tell me everything honey..." He said pulling her into his arms hugging her tightly.
"Mike... I hate myself."
