Days had passed and for whatever reason I was deeply fighting back to urge to go and see Eva. Why couldn't I see her? I know where she works fuck I even know where she lives, I don't fucking know her why am i thinking of her right now. Her freshly dyed hair that smelt like shea butter. Her her smooth brown skin and fragile frame. Her stubborn attitude.
"Vincent...Vincent Evergreen listen to me right now!" Exclaimed to me across the dinning table,I sat up from my day dream with the agitating voice of my mother and the dull and wrinkled face of my father faced opposite the restaurant table from me. The lighting of the room remained warm and the scent of wine and rich people cigars flirted with my cologne.
"My bad. Just... lost in thought i guess."
"Did you hear a single thing I said to you." My mother placed her fork on the eggshell coloured napkin by her plate and glared at me in the most passive aggressive way possible. I glared down at my plate concluding if i should lie.
"No."
She let out a sigh , the type of sigh that only parents could form out of disappointment. "Ralph talk to him." My mother gazed at my father: her lips thin and her nostrils filled with rage.
"Vincent, your mother is simply concerned about you." I glared up from my plate because i knew what they were referring to already. "She just doesn't want you to get into another...accident"
"It wasn't my fault." I spat out because the topic left a bitter taste in my mouth. Silence fell over the table and the spots of gossip overflowed the restaurant walls overtaking our conversation. They sat and looked at one another as my mother adjusted her posture and my father tightened his tie.
"We aren't blaming you for a thing Vincent but you must understand that you are extremely lucky that the severity of ur crash was not the worst possible outcome. You just seem to not care."
"I like riding so if you're going to try convince me to stop give up now." The noise of our silverware against each of our plates did the rest of the talking as i bit the corner of my cheek sick of the constant confrontation.

"So Vin when are you going to get a girlf- "
"Mom." I cut through her sentence tired of the same question every Sunday dinner. My parents push on me getting a girlfriend more than me getting rid of my fucking motorcycle: and by my parents i mean my mom although it was apparent my father wanted it just as much.
"Lets not pressure him honey." Her said gently placing a hand on my mothers shoulder.
My father stared up at me from across the table, his eyes silver and narrow like bullets and his shoulder pads inside his blazer emphasised his build despite his age. His stare screamed just do it for your mother.
For fuck sake..
Sometimes my fathers loyalty to my mother really pisses me off. How the fuck am i going to get a girlfriend.
