Derek stood in the meeting that Richard had called for all attendings. He didn't want to be here and he didn't trust Richard. He knew how he had got up early and left Grace in bed for this
"Thank you. I know it hasn't exactly been easy around here the past few weeks. And I know you want answers. But I'm afraid I don't have them, not just yet ... " Richard said
" He brought us down here to make himself feel good. " derek said to mark
" Well, at least he sprung for good danish. " mark said
" You know how many nurses got fired for that danish?" Derek asked
"The mercy west staff will be arriving in three days, And when they do, There will be more cutbacks and more layoffs. And I need each and every one of you To step up and be leaders. And when I can answer your questions, I will. " richard said as the doctors talking at once
"if you would like to make an appointment To talk about your concerns... " Richard said While everyone starts asking questions, Derek takes a danish.
" You were right. Excellent danish." Derek said

Bella walked down the hall with Meredith and Cristina
" Anything? " Meredith asked
"Nope. " cristina said
"There was a papillary muscle rupture in the C.C.U. , But the guy died before they uld get him into the O.R. " Bella said
"Crap. I need surgeries, and I need them now. I mean, I barely had a hundred hours in the O.R. This month. And you know they're gonna keep the residents with the most hours. " cristina said as Cristina pulls aside a curtain, finding Steve tending to a diabetic ulcer.
"What do you got? " cristina asked
"Um, diabetic ulcer. "
"Down to the bone? " cristina asked as Steve shakes his head no.
"I'm done. Finished. Expired meat. "
"You're freaking out a little bit. " Meredith said
"Well, you haven't been Kicked off of two services in one month. I couldn't get into an O.R. If I was bleeding half to death. You got anything good? "
"Grace is scrubbing in on an optic glioma Later on with Derek. I've never seen one. Lucky bitch being his wife" Bella said
Moving on the next curtain, Cristina finds grace bandaging up a patient.
"What are you doing? " Grace asked
"Just making sure everything is running smoothly here. And ... It is. Kudos. "
Cristina walks off and grace follows her.
"Oh, no, no, no. Unh-unh. Anything that turns surgical down here is mine. "
"You don't need the hours. You just spent the last six months in the O.R. " cristina said
"Unconscious on a table does not count." Grace said as Lexie comes into the ER with Thatcher, who's not looking good.
