Grace stood in the home in the home. Meredith decided not to come. She couldn't be around her mother. Grace didn't blame her but that left Grace being here alone

"She woke up this morning completely aware. She's her old self. It happens. Medically we don't know why. It's just a random gift." The care home worker said as grace frowned

"So she's lucid? She remembers?" Grace asked. She was trying to her head around it. She was shocked

"Pretty much everything except the last five years. And of course she doesn't realize she has Alzheimer's. We thought she should hear it from you. "

"So, she'll know me? I'm gonna walk in there and she'll know who I am?" Grace asked

"She's been asking for you. She's been asking for both her daughters"

Addison stood in the lobby. She was watching Burke and Derek sucking up to the chief. She smirked as Mark walked over. "Aren't you gonna get in there? You wanna be chief, you gotta fight with the big boys," he said.

Addison shook her head. She carried on looking ahead. "I'll fight like a girl. And let them measure the size of their anatomy. Let them kill each other. And then I'll be the only one left standing," she told him.

Mark shrugged. "And then there's me. There you go again. Underestimating me."

"It's not that I underestimate you. It's just that I don't think about you. At all. A bit like you and Bella right. " she told him.

"Bella thinks about me more than she admits I know that she does I mean she's amazing ," Mark said as he walked over the chief.

"I was heading down to the clinic. It's opening day. And I thought it might be nice to show Dr Bailey and the other one a little support."

"Very thoughtful Dr Sloan. I'll join you," Richard said. He looked to Burke and Derek. "Gentlemen. If you'll excuse me."

Grace sat on the bed in ellis room as Ellis stood pacing

"Grace ! What is going on? When did you get back from Europe?" Ellis asked

"I went to Europe for 2 months but that was..."

"I've been sitting here, thinking about the fight we had. The things I said...I...I...I said some terrible things."

"It's fine." Grace said

"No! It's not. After you left I was upset. Did I have a breakdown? I must have had a nervous breakdown. I'm in a...is this a hospital? Because I...I can't remember anything for the past two months, grace . The last thing I remember is the fight we had. And...and listen, if you don't wanna go to medical school that is fine. It is your life, just...just take me home. " Ellis said

" I went to medical school. " Grace said

"I wanna go home, grace. I need to go home."

" You are home. I went to Europe, me and Meredith. five years ago. You got sick. You have Alzheimer's. This is your home. You live here now." Grace said as ellis breaks down
