Paging Dr Shepherd *Derek shepherd*

𝟭𝟴. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀)

Grace sat in the locker room. It was thanksgiving and she wasn't in the mood. There wasn't anything that she was thankful for.

Her mom had Alzheimer's. The man that she had fallen in love with. Was not only married but he had gone back to his wife and he had chosen her over grace and it made her feel down

Bella stood by the lockers in front of grace and looked to her "you look down it's thanksgiving" Bella said as grace looked to her and rolled her eyes

"And what exactly do I have to be thankful for that your brother choose addison over me. The fact my mother doesn't know who I am or Barrie ego is in my kitchen thinking she's master chef. I hate the holidays" grace said as Bella looked to her and chuckled

"There's the fun loving best friend I know in love. Think positive. It's thanksgiving idiots and lots of surgery's" Bella said as grace looked to her and smiled slightly as bailey walked into the locker room and looked to the two of them

"Grey. We're working with a temp attending today. Dr. Kent. He's subbing in from Mercy West. We need to get him orientated. And thanking you for volunteering to come in. Saving me from having to choose an intern to torture. Shepherd your with the chief" bailey said as bella walked off

Bailey starts walking out and Meredith gets up and starts walking with her

"Happy to be tortured" grace said

"Not a fan of Thanksgiving?" Bailey asked

"Not a whole hell of a lot to be thankful for" grace said as Bailey nods slightly. They start walking down a hallway together

"I like Thanksgiving. Day people spend with their families. Too much family time triggers depression, repressed childhood rage, bitter disputes over the remote and way too much alcohol" bailey said as They come to a stop in front of an elevator

"People get stupid. People get violent. People get hurt" bailey said as grace frowned

"And that's a good thing because?" Grace asked as The doors open and people walk off. They get on the elevator

"Surgeries Grey! Lots and lots of surgeries"

"I never thought of that" grace said

"The stupidity of the human race, Grey. Be thankful for that" bailey said

Grace and bailey walked down the hall as they saw an attending standing at a nurses station

"Dr. Kent?" Bailey said as He starts walking off. Bailey & Meredith follow him

"Yes?"

"Uh I'm the surgical resident assisting you today. I know you're subbing in from Mercy West so if there's anything I can do to help ... " bailey said as Dr. Kent stops walking & interrupts

"Look, I'm here for one day. I don't need my ass kissed. All I need is to tell you what to do and you do it. And I don't like mistakes" he said as grace frowned. She was shocked he'd talked to bailey in such a way

Grwcr glances at Bailey for her reaction to this
"I don't make mistakes" bailey said

"Whatever. There's only one resident I want in my OR. Guy they call the nazi. Do you know him?" He asked as Bailey and grace glance at each other
