Paging Dr Shepherd *Derek shepherd*

𝟱𝟬. 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 {𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿}

Grace lay in the bath. She knew that she was trying to get the energy to go to work but she knew it was all too much. She could hear the shouting with the rest of the house as she slid down into the tub. She stayed there under the water trying to drown everything out as derek walked into the room

"Grace?" He called. He looked down at her under the water and pulled her up

"What are you doing" he asked as he handed her a towel as she sighed. She knew that her mother had got to her and she knew that she didn't want to admit it. She didn't want to admit how hard it was on her

Grace stood from the bath and got ready as Derek looked to her "are we going to talk over what this is" he asked as she walked out of the room and looked to him

"I was taking a bath I needed a moment" she said

"Really do baths include going under and trying to drown yourself. Why don't you take the toaster in with you next time" he said as they walked out into the hallways

"I was not trying to kill myself"

"I wish she would" izzie said as she stood in the hallway

"Shut it stevens having you got a dead corpse to cry after" Bella spat as she stood there

They walked into the kitchen where Bella followed

"Look your mother..."

"Drop it" Grace said

"Your mother, look your mother was lucid and she said things and now she's"

"Gone and everything back to normal it's not a big deal" Grace said

"Yeah, except she's having heart surgery today. " Derek said as grace sighs and Derek cups her face.

"Hey, you want me to talk to the Chief? I know you have that triage thing today but he'll give you the day off. " Derek said as she looked to him annoyed

"Stop! I do not need rescuing. "

"You would have drowned in the bathtub had I not been there." Derek said as grace rolled her eyes

"I'm a surgeon. I do the rescuing. You are not my knight in shining...whatever. " Grace said

"Oh, so we're gonna fight because I pulled you out of the tub. " Derek said

"You have a place. You could sleep at it. And then you don't have to pull me out of the bathtub. You're everywhere, all the time, saying things." Grace said

"This is the happy ever after part and in the happily ever after part the guy is there, all the time, saying things. And the girls love it. Besides I practically live here" he said

"Go to work. I'll see you there." Grace Said

"Just for the record, I am you knight in shining...whatever. " Derek said as grace turned to face her best friend and sighed

"I did not try to drown myself in the bathtub. " Grace said as Bella smiled

"Hey I don't blame you I mean you sleep with him after all. I mean especially my brother and it's weird" Bella said as grace rolled her eyes
