Cora had been here before.

In a mobile prison that rode to an unknown destination. She thought the torture would be where it ended with Zebel but the god of lust dragged her back to Midres and no one stopped him. Not the spirits, not the gods of Fatos. She was utterly and completely alone. Powerless too.

At least, that was before the shackles on her wrists and ankles dropped and she felt a rush so disorienting she nearly vomited.

Then two dark whips of energy floated before her, gesturing for her to follow. To turn into a similar form. She willed herself to be fire and followed, leaving behind the army that marched for Goxa, to wait to return of its rightful monarch so they may slay him once and for all.

Freya got on her knees and hugged Eleonor and Callahan, crying in the process. She heard the gods rise. Heard footsteps. Proof that they now walked to one another. She didn't cast her hearing to them. Only to her friends.

'Are you okay?' Callahan whispered to her.

She looked at him and his eyes shone with unshed tears. So did Eleonor's. The Phoenix. She had gotten wind of the information when the landed in Opir and Yenai had asked her to will an armor for herself. The very wind in Opir had told her of the Dragon and Phoenix. They had come back as cousins. In their first life time, they were father and daughter. Both killed and unable to return but somehow Eric and Eleonor had.

'As well as I can be considering the gravity of this nonsense,' Freya said and Eleonor let her tears flow.

'You can deal with your sentiments later. You summoned us,' Sulas voice rang through the room but Freya knew it was for them. For her. She smiled at her friends before they all rose. She faced the gods that Midres adored so very much.

'You are not here to Lord over me.' Freya said.

'You only Lord over me because Drasel's essence comes from you. Otherwise, Helias' brat, you would have not been able to drag me or my court here.'

'Brat?'

'It is how you act.'

Freya's anger was obvious but she held it. Perhaps the destruction her anger would cause was not worth it.

'You are dismissed,' Freya turned her back to them and Eleonor saw the frustration in her face. The tears in her eyes. Eleonor looked up and they were still there.

Freya hadn't cried when Derrick broke off their marriage. Not in front of her anyway. Eleonor felt her anger rage but before she could open her mouth her husband did.

'You fucking buffon,' Callahan spat so bitterly he didn't recognize his voice with all that rage and fury.

'Mind your words mortal,' Sulas warned as Callahan stepped forward, letting go of his wife and Freya.

'Or what? It doesn't get any worse than this,' he spat. 'You have sat idle and I am rather sick of your incompetence.'

'Your kingdom burns. Yet, I am the incompetent one.'

'I don't have earthshaking powers you bastard,' Eleonor stiffened and so did the gods behind Sulas. Lona and Freya were rather not interested in the conversation.

Sulas' eyes began  to glow with pure rage and before his words could leave his mouth. Freya spoke in a disturbingly quiet voice.

'Get out,' She ordered no one in particular but Eleonor knew the order was for Sulas.

The god was about to speak when Lona glared at him. 'It will be in your best interest to listen.'

Sulas said nothing.

The god only departed but not before Freya told him to go to the peak and help with the task there.
