(Time skip)

Nahele was two years old, he walked a lot. And he spoke lovingly with long sentences. He wasn't nerdy—he was charming.
Me'lati, however, grew slowly and remained quiet. From what Kiri told the parents was that she could in fact speak. But she chose not to. That remained a mystery.

As for Lo'ak and Tsireya—they were expecting. They had mated at the age of 17 which seemed very young but their parents approved of their beautiful love.

" Nahe! Baby! Slow down!" Neteyam warned.

" I want to find fishy! Over there!"

" Yes I know, Nahe we spoke about this."

" But—papa said yes to go over there." Nahele pointed.

" Did he now?"

" Yep!"

" When?"

" Whenever I wanna."

" Mhm. Now, no lying."

" You lying! Bad baba!"

" Bad baba?"
" How so?"

" Because...because I say to! I say you is...bad!"

" Well, then is baba is bad you can't go play."

" No! I wanna go play! Play!"

" Hm. Take your sister." Neteyam smiled.

" No...Meli is bad."

" Huh?"

" She mean."

" Why?" Neteyam tilted his head.

" She speak wrong."

" Speak?"

" Yes."

" She can't speak baby." Neteyam reassured.

" Can too!"

" When?"

" When baba and papa isn't here."

" Well, then she doesn't speak around baba?"

" Nope! She don't wanna." Nahele shrugged.

" Baby, be nice."

" I am nice! Meli is meanie!"

" What does she say?"

" She say that—that...that she eat dah fish!"

" Really?"

" Mhm!"

" Hm. Baby I think you say that."

" Nuh uh! I do naut eat dah fishy, she ate the fishy!"

" Well then...when did she eat the fishy?"

" I dunno."

Neteyam sighed and went down in his knees, touching Nahele's round toddler stomach to hold him still.

" Nahele, it isn't nice to lie. You understand?"

" But I know lie..."

" Meli doesn't speak baby boy."

" She do!"

" I'm sorry baby but I don't accept lying."

" I no lie."

" You can play another time." Neteyam whispered.

" No! I don't wanna! I wanna stay!" Nahele screamed.

" Don't raise your voice baby."

" I wanna stay!" Nahele wailed.
