AYZAL POV:

"Meri lag rahi hain aap" words flew out his mouth so fluently and blood rushed through my whole body firing up my skin.

Five words and yet it felt like he managed to fit the whole universe in it. My body moved on its own accord and I snuggled myself in his arms as if I was meant to be in his arms, forever.

"Mujhe koi aiteraaz nahi hai yu hi rehne me lekin sab niche intezar kar rahein honge hamara," he said caressing my back. I nodded and we both went down for breakfast.

We were descending the stairs and our whole family came in my sight and my nervousness got the best of me. I clutch Jahanzaib's hand tightly.

I could feel those teasing looks on my toli's faces so I tried my best to avoid them. Elders were looking at us with a smile on their faces.

I clutched his arm even tighter. Feeling the pressure of my hold my husband caressed my arm relaxing me instantly.

Have I ever said that only a look from him can calm the havoc inside me? Yes. He holds that power over me.

"Assalam alaikum" we greeted in unison. Everyone greeted us back and we went to our seats. Like the gentleman he is he pulled the chair for me!!!

Giving him a smile I sat in my seat followed by him sitting beside me. I looked towards my cousins and they were still giving me that teasing look that I so wanted to snatch from their faces.

"Ayzi theek se to neend lag gayi thi na" hunaiza appi asked me munching her paratha. Her lips were tucked from the corner.

"Ji appi" I replied meekly.

"Haan bhai kyu nahi aaegi neend ab..." Saad said winking at me and everyone laughed at his joke. I glared at him and stuck out his tongue. This idiot.

"Ammi dekhein ye mujhe phirse tang kar raha hai bandar kahi ka" i whined.

"Haan to kya ghalat keh raha hai bhai. Bachpan me bhi to jab tumhe neend nahi aati thi tum to badi aaram se sojati thi jahan ke paas" my ammi did not just say that. My cheeks heated with their teasing.

"Mai...mai abhi aati hu.." saying this I stood up from my seat only to be rooted in my place at his call.

"Khazay(wife)" Jahanzaib's voice echoed throughout the hall followed by the hooting of my cousins.

"Ji" I turned on my heels facing him, my face flushed like a tomato. My head ducked cause I didn't dare to look at my elders. I didn't sign up for this back-to-back embarrassment.
*crying face*.

"Ek cup chai piladein," he said and more like requested in a gentle tone.

"Ji" Nodding my head I dashed into the kitchen. Not long after my cousins stumbled into the kitchen. I knew it.

"Bhabi humein bhi ek cup chai piladein" Saad blurted earning a glare from me which he ignored.

"SAAD" hunaiza appi screamed making me jump in my place.

"Aise bhabi bulate hai koi" she scolded Saad and I grinned at his disbelieved face.

"Bhabi jaan kaho izzat se" hunaiza appi said and my eyes widened at her remark.

"Appi yaar aap bhii," I said in disappointment.

"Aree bas kar jao ab meri behen ko zyada tang mat karo" shumaila appi said hugging me.

"Aree shumaila bhabhi aap to naraz hogayi" hunaiza appi teased her and I giggled earning a smack on my head.

"Meri begum ko tang na karo" boomed humza bhai voice in the kitchen.

"Ye bhai behen ko kya aadat hai chillane ki" i thought to myself.

He came and side-hugged shumaila appi making her tomato-like red. "Aww romance to inke khoon me doudta hai".

"Ayzi" I heard my husband's voice from behind. A smile crawled on my lips just by hearing his voice.

"Ji" I replied. His steps halted in front of me with a distance of maybe just two steps and I could see teasing looks lingering in my cousin's eyes.

"Sab chai ka intezar kar rahein hai" he replied taking my hands in his. Oh god. I forgot about chai. I mentally prayed that the chai didn't get burned. Not again khudaya.
Thankfully chai was okay. I quickly strained the chai with some refreshments.

"Chalein" I motioned to jahanzaib.

"Ji begum chalein" he replied, his hand on my back.

"Ji begum chalein" I heard humza bhai mimicking jahanzaib. I giggled.

"Ji begum chalein" saad also mimicked jahanzaib earning a pinch from hunaiza appi.

We all went near the table and I served everyone their chai. Lastly, I served chai to my husband and sat beside him.

I know I make the best chai but today for some reason I was feeling anxious. Jahanzaib took my hands in his and caressed which immediately relaxed my nerves.

I don't know how he can sense whenever I am anxious or nervous. He is there for me every time and at that very moment, I decided that I'll be there for him every time.

"Chai ka to maza agaya beta" tayabbu said sipping his tea. I smiled in contentment.

"Shukriya tayabbu " I replied but his smile dropped and he lowered his hand which was holding the cup.

"Ab hum apke tayabbu nahi rahe ab humein baba kaho bete," he said at last with a smile.

"Ji baba," I said with a full-blown smile.

"Haam bhai chai to meri beti bohot maze ki banati hai" tayima said.

"Aqir zawja kiski hai," Jahan said with pride laced in his tone. Finishing his chai he kept the cup on the table.

"Mai study me hu mujhe kuch kaam hai. Jald ajaunga. Kuch chahiye ho to fouri ajana. Ok baby" said he pecked my forehead.
He did not just do that.

HE. PECKED. ME. INFRONT. OF. THE. WHOLE. DAMN. FAMILY.

My eyes widened. Cheeks heating up in both blush and embarrassment. I rooted in my place and I didn't even move an inch from there. I heard the hooting of my cousins but I did not dare to react to any of it.

I couldn't.  I just couldn't. It's all so new to me and I am feeling millions of butterflies in my tummy right now.

"Hamesha khush raho" ammi and everyone gave me a lot of duas and soon everyone dispersed from the hall. I didn't waste a minute and ran to my room.

"Hayye Allah pagal hi na hojaun mai," I said to myself while closing the door.
