Cassandra Marie Sloan Shepherd or Cassie, she the younger half sister of Derek Shepherd and Mark Sloan. She's a third year resident at Seattle Grace, following in her older brothers footsteps to becoming a surgeon.

" Mark, are you almost done here?" Cassandra asks as she walks into the O.R.
" I'm good in two seconds. What's up?" Mark asks looking up from his patient.
" I'll wait." Cassandra says doing everything she can not to cry.
" I just rocked this mandibular repair. You'd never know this guy's jaw was broken in five places. I'm somewhat of an artist. Not Picasso, Because then his jaw would be on his forehead. More like Chagall. Michelangelo, I'm Michelangelo. There. Done." Mark says before looking up. " What've you got?"
" It's Callie." Cassandra says as a tear rolls down her face. " It was an accident. They are on their way here now."
Mark runs out of the O.R with Cassandra behind him. The two siblings run out to the ambulance bay where everyone else is already waiting.
" What the hell happened?" Mark asks as he stops.
" Car versus truck, that's all we know." Owen says.
" And her injuries? What...? The baby?" Mark asks.
" We don't know yet." Derek says.
" Why the hell don't you know?" Mark asks. " Someone get me a trauma gown and gloves."
" Mark, You need to sit this one out." Richard says, looking at Mark.
" I'm not sitting this one out. That's Callie. That's my kid!" Mark yells.
" Which is why you can't. I'm sorry, you can't be a doctor on this one." Richard says.
" Screw you, Screw all of you!" Mark says, putting on the trauma gown.
" Mark." Cassandra says walking over to her brother. " Look at me. They got her, they got them both."
" Cassie..." Mark says.
" I know, It will be fine." Cassandra says talking Mark aside as the ambulance rolls in.
As the ambulance stops and they unload Callie, Mark takes a step back when he sees her. He gets a flashback from 10 years earlier.
" Not again." Mark mumbles, Cassandra hears it and grabs him.
" Mark, Look at me, I'm okay, I survived. So will Callie and the baby." Cassandra says looking him in the eyes. " They'll be fine."
As the other doctors take Callie away Arizona walks over.
" Arizona." Cassandra says hugging her. " Are you okay?"
" I'm fine." Arizona says.
" What the hell happened?" Mark asks.
" It came out of nowhere. I..." Arizona starts " I asked her to marry me and a truck came out of nowhere."
