Cassandra Marie Sloan Shepherd or Cassie, she the younger half sister of Derek Shepherd and Mark Sloan. She's a third year resident at Seattle Grace, following in her older brothers footsteps to becoming a surgeon.

Days later, Cassandra has just started her shift. She's walking down the hallway looking at the chart when she accidentally bumps into someone. She looks up seeing Jackson.
"Jackson" Cassandra says, a bit nervous. They hadn't talked since the surprise party.
"Hi" Jackson says, smiling at Cassandra. "We should probably..." Jackson starts but stops as Cassanda's pager goes off.
"I gotta go. It's 911" Cassandra says.
"Yeah go" Jackson says.
Cassandra gives him a small smile before hurrying away. She runs down to the tunnels meeting Meredith there.
"Why are we here? And why page 911?" Cassandra asks, looking confused at her sister in law. "I haven't really been down here since..."
"I know me neither, but Izzie called telling me to meet her down here." Meredith says.
"Izzie? She's coming here?" Cassandra says looking at Meredith.
"Here I am." Izzie says, making Meredith and Cassandra turn around seeing Izzie come pushing a wheelchair with an older man in it." Dr. Singer, this is my friends Dr Sloan Shepherd and Dr Grey." Izzie says bowing down to the man.
"Izzie the man is wearing pajamas and an overcoat. What did you do, sneak him out in the middle of the night?" Cassandra asks, looking at Izzie.
"NO" Izzie says with a guilty look on her face.
"Early this morning" Dr Singer says.
"OH MY GOD IZ!" Cassandra says looking at her friend confused.
"You kidnapped him?" Meredith says.
"Doesn't matter, He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a few months ago but he's been falling a lot lately. So would you guys be able to sneak him up to Derek?" Izzie asks, looking at her friends hoping they'll help.
"Seriously Izzie? That's why you came back here? Not to talk to Alex?" Cassandra asks, a bit irritated with Izzie.
"Yeah" Izzie answers.
"It was good seeing you Iz but I have surgery" Cassandra says leaving the tunnels.
Later in the day Cassandra walks into the cafeteria for lunch as she's about to get some food when she realizes she forgot her wallet at home. She sees Mark and puts on her baby sister charm before walking over to him and a few other attendings who are sitting and talking. When she gets over to them she hears Mark is about to say something stupid so she hits him in the back of his head.
