Ian Somerhalder and Nina Somerhalder are "close" to welcoming their fourth child.
"We're in the home stretch, big time, so it's really, really special," Somerhalder, 44, exclusively told Page Six at a party for his and Paul Wesley's whiskey brand Brother's Bond Bourbon and the Tennis Channel in Miami on Tuesday.
The "Vampire Diaries" alum added that being a parent is the "best thing ever" and went on to rave about how Somerhalder, 34, is handling the pregnancy.
"I will say, men just have no clue what women go through and it is just so amazing to see," Somerhalder said. "She's just such a goddess. You see this life happening and you're like, 'Wow, you're doing this.'"

The "Lost" alum — who already shares 5-year-old daughter Blaire, 4 and 3 year-old sons Arrow and Duncan with his wife — said it is a "really special time" for their family.
Somerhalder said that his kids are excited to be a big sister and brothers and they "love it" and "can't wait."
"Blaire, Arrow and Duncan talk to this kid more than anyone, so this kid's going to know her and the boys' more than anyone," the actor shared before joking that he is actually a bit concerned with how much his fourth baby is learning from their older siblings.

"When you have a 4, 3, and 2-year-old, they yell at you a lot, so I hope this kid doesn't pick up too much that you can yell at your parents," the soon-to-be father of four said with a laugh.
The Somerhalder's confirmed via Instagram in February that they were expecting another child. They have not yet revealed their baby's sex or due date.
"All I've ever wanted from the time I was a young boy was to have a big family," the "Anomaly" star captioned a sweet photo of him and his spouse at the time.
