chapter 10 - it's raining

"I can't wait for the two week holiday after next week's exam." Jake groaned, resting his head on the table while spectating his friends (Jungwon and Sunoo) studying for the upcoming exam.

"Same. This free study hall is getting boring." Ni-ki complained, closing his biology book and rested his head on the table with Jake.

"Then study." Jungwon commented on his friend's complaints and rolled his eyes. He was taking important notes as Sunoo, with his earbuds on, listening to music while taking notes and answering questions.

Jake kept quiet as he stared at Sunoo. He then glanced at Ni-ki who was already looking at him. They both couldn't help but formed a smile on their lips.

Jungwon who saw that furrowed his eyebrows. He put down his pen and looked at his friends.

"Why are you guys smiling at each other? Are you hiding something from us?" Jungwon raised his eyebrows as the duo just sneered at his question.

Jake straightened his back and took out an empty paper. He then wrote something on it and passed it to Jungwon.

Jungwon was confused. Why couldn't the male just tell him upfront? Nevertheless, he received the paper and opened it. After reading it, he sighed and looked at his friends who couldn't stop giggling.

"Okay then.." He muttered as he tucked away the paper.

"Jake!" A girl's voice could be heard as the said male immediately snapped his head towards the source of the sound to see his classmate at the door.

"What?" He stood up as he answered.

"Call Kim Sunoo. Someone's looking for him." The girl wiggled her eyebrows while pointing at the person outside with her thumb.

Jake bit his bottom lip to stop himself from smiling as he knocked on Sunoo's table. Sunoo who noticed the vibration immediately took off one of his earbuds and looked up to see Jake.

"What is it?" Sunoo asked.

"Someone's looking for you." Jake pointed at the door with his thumb.

Sunoo took a deep breath as he put down his pen and took off his earbuds. He stood up and walked towards the door. His classmates were all stealing glances at him to see what was happening, because behind that door was none other than a popular boy in the campus, Park Sunghoon.

Sunoo slid open the door to see Sunghoon holding a small soft pink paper bag in his hand. Once Sunoo entered his view, his eyes sparkled at how gorgeous his crush is in real life.

Though, Sunoo's expression was the complete opposite of Sunghoon. His face turned into a bitter one.

"Sunoo—"

"No, thank you. Keep that." Sunoo immediately rejected his gift. He was about to close the door but Sunghoon stopped him from doing so.

"If you don't want to forgive me, just please. Take it." Sunghoon pleaded as Sunoo took a deep breath and ruffled his hair in frustration.

He couldn't just say 'No' to the word 'Please'.

"Shouldn't you be in your class right now? Studying? We literally have an exam next week." Sunoo tried to change the subject but Sunghoon already took his hand and put the strings of the paper bag in his hand.

Sunoo's jaw dropped when Sunghoon touched hand. He must admit, he was kind of flustered by it.

"I don't care. Please just, take it." Sunghoon rubbed his thumb on Sunoo's hand and gave Sunoo a small smile.

Sunoo clicked his tongue and sighed. He pulled back his hand and closed the door without any hesitation.

Sunghoon couldn't help but smile at his adorable behaviour. He found it cute that Sunoo was trying to play hard on him, which he didn't care about. He would play with Sunoo until he melted the cold treatment of Sunoo's.
