(MT-17-finale) : Their Tomorrow

Positive.

It took a lot to convince Liam to take the tests but he eventually relented.

After a week they got the results.

Liam is diagnosed with mild Alzheimer's the doctors said that Liam must have preclinical Alzheimer's during his early 30's already but they just haven't seen the signs.

Alzheimer's have no cure, there was no treatment other than certain medications and therapies that can help manage the symptoms.

Liam can have an operation but it is too risky and she cannot allow him to do that.

They have been discussing their options for weeks now at minsan nauuwi pa sila sa pag-aaway.

She heard a bang inside their room so she hurried upstairs to find Liam emerging from the bathroom.

He was wet from the shower, his skin is already red.

He might've forgotten that he already took a shower thrice that day and only remembered it after feeling the stinging on his skin.

"Liam, hindi mo ba nainom yung gamot mo?" She asked while assisting him to sit.

Liam was stubborn ayaw nito magpa alaga sa kanya.

It's been three months since they found out a out his illness at lalo lang lumalala ang sakit ni Liam.

It's ironic how their situation switched.

She understands how he feels for she was in the same situation years ago.

"Agatha, nahihirapan na ako. Nahihirapan akong nakikita kang nasasaktan at nahihirapan because of me." He said as he held her face on his hand.

"My case keeps on progressing everyday because of my condition. I'm allowing you to run away from me and I will understand Agatha. I want you to be happy."

"No love. Ayaw ko. Please? Let me take care of you. We've been married for fifteen years Syete, ngayon pa ba tayo bibitaw? Nalagpasan natin ang amnesia, Alzheimer's pa ba? Love, we are stronger than this!"

"Then, let me have the operation. Gusto kong gumaling, I want everything to go back to normal, I want to be able to provide for our family." Pakiusap nito at umiling siya.

"If I allow you, I might lose you forever Liam, and I--- I cannot. Hindi ko kaya!" She screamed at him in frustration, but when she looks at his eyes, she can see it. He's determined to do it.

"No! No! No!" She cried out upon realizing that there was no stopping him.

Liam just hugged her closer to him. She knew she had to agree.

All her life, Liam didn't asked her for anything. Ngayon lang, pero napaka hirap naman ibigay.

"Bakit ka pumayag Mommy?" Cassandra asked her mother. They are currently just outside the operating room and it has been hours since the doctors went inside.

The only thing that keeping her calm is that Luna was there with Liam, she knows na hindi nito papabayaan si Liam.

"Cassandra, stop it! Mom is already worried as it is, wag ka munang dumagdag, por pabor!" Katie answered for her Mom.

Liam doesn't want the children to know that he will undergo operation two months after they discussed about it.

Ayaw naman talaga niyang pumayag, but seeing how things are getting harder and harder for Liam that even simple task made him struggle, ay pumayag na din si Agatha.
