i waited by the entrance of the OR with blood shot eyes.

she may not be my daughter, but i cared about her. i loved her.

i loved the baby inside her.

we sat there until 1:30 am before bella came walking out.

"she's going to be okay." she spoke with a sense of relief.

"the baby?" i asked slowly.

"also okay. they are both okay. i have the baby up in a separate room, as soon as she is up i will take the baby to her." bella spoke calmly.

"thank you so much." i spoke as tears flooded down my face.

"she's strong calum. she's going to be okay." bella spoke as she walked off.

scarlet's pov

i slowly opened my eyes to see a fuzzy, yet familiar, hospital room.

i immediately reached down towards my stomach before the tears started pouring rapidly down my face.

"hey hey, it's okay baby. she's okay." calum spoke as he gently grabbed my arms.

"w-water." i mumbled.

calum walked over to the table and handed me a glass.

"can i see her?" i spoke immediately after i drank water.

"of course." calum replied as he slowly helped me up.

we walked over to the infirmary and there i saw my baby girl laying.

a sudden wave of emotion hit me as i teared up.

"she's beautiful." i whispered.

"she really is." calum replied.

"i'll have her brought to your room okay?" calum spoke as he guided me back to my room.

i nodded and held onto him as we walked.

calum slowly helped me back in bed.

a couple minutes later, bella came in with my baby in her hands.

"here you go girly." bella spoke with a tiny smile.

i slowly grabbed her and couldn't help but sob at the beautiful baby in front of me.

"do you have a name picked for her?" bella asked.

"andrea rosa hood." i spoke firmly.

calum immediately looked up with tears in his eyes.

"n- "yes. you're her technically grandpa and as far as i'm concerned. i don't have a mom anymore." i spoke firmly.

all of a sudden, the door swung open and mom came walking in.

"is that my granddaughter?" mom spoke as she tried to make her way to me.

"i thought i told you i didn't want you in her life." i spoke as i held her closer to my chest.

"she's my granddaughter you can't do that." mom laughed as she tried to come closer again.

calum quickly stood in front of me.

"i don't want you in our life." i spoke firmly.

"its not up to you." mom replied.

"actually it is. do you want to get emancipated? i'll help you." calum spoke as he looked at me.

"yes." i replied simply.

that was the last i ever saw of mom.

1 year later

"mama!" andrea yelled as she came crawling down the hallway.

"hi baby girl!" i smiled brightly as i swooped down to pick her up.

a lot happened in this last year.

i got emancipated, finished high school, obtained a full time job as a barista all while providing for my beautiful child.

"someone's excited!" ashton laughed as he came behind andrea.

andrea whined in response and hugged ashton.

soon enough all of the boys were downstairs.

"i have a tiny thing to say." i smiled softly.

"i couldn't have done this without you guys. i wouldn't be here without you guys. i love you. merry christmas." i spoke with a smile before sitting back down by calum.

"p-pwesant!" andrea shouted.

"she said present!" luke shouted with a huge smile.

finally everyone was done opening presents before i walked over to calum with an envelope.

"what's this?" he asked.

"just look." i spoke with a tiny eye roll.

calum opened the letter and revealed an adoption paper.

"you want me to adopt her?" calum spoke with a tiny smile.

"i want you to adopt us both if you want too." i replied.

"of course." calum replied as he pulled me in for a big hug.

"group picture!" michael declared as he set his camera up with a timer.

"make sure to yell, best christmas ever okay?" michael spoke as he picked up andrea and handed her to me.

"best christmas ever!" we all shouted as the camera took the photo.

and that concluded the last chapter to my years as a kid, but opened up a book for my years as a mom.
